Raw Thanksgiving Special Guest Host

Spoiler Alert

SPOILER: show

WWE confirmed the rumor from earlier today that Jesse Ventura will be hosting Monday Night Raw next week. Expect an announcement on RAW tonight. Here is the full press release…

World Wrestling Entertainment® announced today that former Navy Seal and Governor of Minnesota Jesse Ventura will host WWE: A Raw Thanksgiving live November 23 at 8:00 PM ET / 7:00 PM CT on USA Network from the Giant Center in Hershey, PA.

Ventura is the star of the upcoming Conspiracy Theory with Jesse Ventura, a new series that seeks to uncover the truth behind the most compelling modern day conspiracy theories. The show, premiering December 2 at 10:00 PM ET on truTV, follows Ventura as he travels across the country investigating cases, hearing from both conspiracy believers and skeptics.

I want to see him serving turkey.

Ermaximus 11-16-2009 03:35 PM

So his new show is the plug, but at least we'll have 2 hosts in a row that at least know their shit about wrestling.

XCaliber 11-16-2009 03:39 PM

Nice this is probably the first time they've had former WWE wrestlers back to back and I hope that trend continues instead of has been musicians and other celebs we don't care about.

Didn't the Rock say he was going to host Raw sometime? Hopefully soon.

Yes he did but I hope he didn't say it on a whim but then again I'm sure if that were the case they would have edited that part out. Either way I guarantdamntee it'll be the highest rated show since this guest host thingy started. It would seriously suck though if they didn't use him in a match though unless they plan on having him job to a monster heel then forget it.

I actually am looking forward to Ventura. Tonight we get Piper a former wrestler and Ventura is a former wrestler and commentator so it should work out great. The last time he was in a position of power was in June of 2001 when he granted a match between Stone Cold Steve Austin and Chris Jericho for the WWE Championship. I am sure that wouldn't be the case now since Y2J is a heel, but Ventura was never a face in his entire career, so he could side with the heels.

Yeah I believe in Januray either the 4th or the 11th. It would be best if it was the 4th to kick off the new year.

First the Hot Rod, now the Body... Raw is getting it right TWO WEEKS IN A ROW!!! WOOOOO!!!!

Ermaximus 11-16-2009 04:45 PM

They are just hyping us for the inevitable Sammy Sosa or Micheal Cera Raw, but I'll take 2 weeks of good hosting over 2 weeks of bad hosting any day.

Oh, I do love it when people include a load of pointless trivia in their posts just so we're clear that they "know their stuff". :y:

Michael Cera Raw? Fuck. That pisses me off just thinking about it.

Finally, 2 straight weeks of good solid talent with Piper and Body. Should be very good TV

Nicky Fives 11-16-2009 06:48 PM

Theo Dious 11-16-2009 08:41 PM

I was guessing that the Gobbledygooker was going to host...

It would be a bit harsh if they made a series called Conspiracy Theory with Jesse Ventura and made the programme with somebody else.

I'm pretty sure just because he was a wrestler 20 years ago isn't exactly proof enough that he knows the names of, and follows, the current generation of talent.

I hope he doesn't fuck up a name as that always bugs me and it would prove that there is a lack of focus in the scripting department...But it also provides good fodder for the RAW haterz.

That was what I first thought when I saw the title of the Thread, but I'm so sure he'll make an appearance next week anyway.

Schlomey 11-17-2009 09:23 AM

If the Gooker rears its ugly head I'm only watching Smackdown.

Savio 11-17-2009 09:31 AM

In 2 weeks Kane Knight hosts raw.

Schlomey 11-17-2009 09:33 AM

who's that?

If Piper can do it as messed up as he was last night, why can't Jesse Ventura?

Although after last night, I want to see Iron Shiek host Raw. "Fuck Hulk Hogan I rape you with my ten foot dick raja raja raaaa."

Fabien Barthez 11-17-2009 11:15 AM

I hate Jesse Ventura.

I'd love it if he showed up with the cast of the original Predator movie.
