I thought there was a new Blink 182 album coming out?

There is. Tom's apparently finishing this up then I believe they're working on the Blink album. Not totally sure though.

Tom is a busy guy. The Blink album has more done than we think because they were recording new material before we even knew they were back together making music again. But it is not done. Love I believe is damn near finished because the movie had to be scored with some of the tracks. It's rumored that Sundance loved the movie as well. We'll see what comes in the future!

You're speaking my language. There Is, Cat Like Thief, and Watch The World are such gut wrenching tracks on the Boxcar album for me.

I like Angels and Airwaves... their sound is really unique. Not as good as Blink though. Most people seemed to hate the last Blink record for being all serious and not the usual fast-paced college themed songs they were known for but I thought they are really good at writing serious/dark music.

Anyway, Cat Like Thief is an EPIC song. Don't leave her!

I saw A&A a couple of times a few years ago with Taking Back Sunday. I really like the song 'The War'

Thanks to this thread I have listened through both Boxcar Racer & A&A CD's this morning at work. Lovely morning music although it's somewhat heavy.

I found Boxcar racer for 0.84p (used) on Amazon marketplace, so I've bought it. Meant to get round to this, as well as +44 and A&A albums.

What is the best A&A album to start with?

Since they were written in a way that they are supposed to be a journey, start with the debut album, We Don't Need To Whisper and then move to I-Empire.

We Don't Need To Whisper was 50 minutes of self-indulgent, over-sold space rock that had none of the charm of anything that people like David Bowie and Pink Floyd released in their careers. It felt hollow. I don't know that you'll like it, El Vaq. :-\

The song is brilliant. It's Blink though. Track number 9 on their self-titled album released in 2003.

The song is about loss of hope. Tom had a vision of someone in space orbiting the earth, but didn't have the resources to get back. Then the question is, does he even want to?

As of Sunday Tom sent the new AVA single for mixing! Not sure of a title yet, but it's possibly gonna be called Hallucinations according to Mr. DeLonge himself. Exciting news!
