Vance Archer thoughts, opinions, ideas, remarks?
 

I have been watching Vance Archer on ECW this past few weeks and what do you think of Lance Hoyt/ Vance Archer? I think he is the look that the WWE is going for today like Sheamus and Jack Swagger. I never hated Lance Hoyt in TNA I just think he still needs a gimmick to make him better. What are your thoughts, opinions, ideas, remarks, agreements, disagreements, etc. about the Archer?

Never seen him in TNA, so I need to see more before I can know for sure

I wasn't impressed by Lance Hoyt in TNA as the Rock and Rave Infection....I personally liked him in TNA as a solo gimmick or when he was Dallas and was teamed up with Kid Kash back when TNA was still repping the NWA belts.

as far as Vance Archer goes....I don't like the looks package.....I think the haircut and the tights are horrid....they should have let him keep the long hair and the Test like leather/pleather pants like he had in TNA. So far he's only wrestled local jobbers, so hasn't really been tested as far as green/par/superior ring improvement in WWE. And WTF is a Vance Archer...gay name.

I saw him for the first time tonight. i like his hair much better now. Looked like a giant douche before, imo.

I liked his look better before. Now he looks like generic wrestler #2312.

Of course, I didn't like him much from what I saw in TNA anyways.

I like the short hair better, but he still has a tramp stamp. Doesn't make me think of him as being a hard ass with that there.

He needs to get something to cover that up. Maybe wear a singlet or even run an angle where someone slashes him with a sharp object and he has to cover up the scar with a wrap around the stomach.

Or just get it removed...

I thought his TNA work was crap, but now he is mildly interesting.

Horribly generic but I want to like him. I already like him more than Escobar which is a good sign. That guy is sooo lame.

I've known Lance since the beginning of his Career over here in Dallas at PCW when he was known as "Shadow". Vance Archer.... fucking STUPID name. They should just let him be himself, LANCE HOYT. I personally don't like his look, the haircut and the pants are lame. But I like the direction they are headed with his "intense" attitude. Lance has ALOT of skill, they need to let him loose. Let him work his way up at ECW, then move him to RAW, hopefully with a new name.

That's odd for me it's the complete opposite.

I loved him in TNA..... once he's given somebody other than jobbers to work with, he will show his doubters that he is a true talent

basically this. he may be ok in the ring but i'll never be able to take him seriously.

He looks like he beats the shit out of his opponents, legitimately. I've only seen him against jobbers thus far, so perhaps it will change when he's not supposed to be so dominant, but some of his ring work, while great looking, makes me wonder about the condition of his opponents at the end of the night. If there's an issue with him being overly stiff, it'll work against him in the long run.

Note: I haven't seen him in other promotions yet, alas. Anyone got a good youtube vid of his previous work?

I was wondering that, too. It does look like his nose got bigger. Maybe he smartened up and went botox on it since he saw the wonders it did for Trips.

Like the hair hate the attire..but a)you don't want him to be a carbon copy of test as you see where that went b) this guy is what Vince likes, big so he'll last 2 months win the ECW title then get "future endeavored"

He seems like just another generic big guy. Not saying he does not have talent -- I have been entertained by his matches in the past. But what does he bring that no one else does? A tramp stamp?

They could give him a Buffalo Bill gimmick. Wannabe transgender outside the ring, in drag and showing off his tramp stamp; inside the ring he is all business and kills bitches dead.
