I am planning to buy a new netbook this december

I will be coming over to USA this Christmas to spend some time with my little brother. I am planning to buy an ultra portable netbook. I came over this Asus N10J netbook which also includes Nvidia graphics along with the Intel GMA set. Basically I will be playing games like Counter Strike 1.6, Cricket 07, Warrior Within, Left 4 Dead, San Andreas, NFS Carbon and maybe Crysis. I will be working on NetBeans, Dreamweaver and Photoshop.

It is around 700$ so is it worth a buy considering the fact that I want a small computer. If there are any similar netbooks or low priced AMD laptops then do let me know.

Crysis? On a netbook?

But that ASUS one is probably the best chance you'll have at running any games.

There are some videos on youtube. But I wouldn't care. Maybe I will wait till May next year and buy a 64 bit laptop with 512 mb graphic memory.

Still wouldn't be able to play the original Crysis that well, unless maybe if you spring for Core i7 or lower the graphics way down.

Then again I'm a graphics whore and running Crysis at <35 FPS bugs the crap out of me. Your mileage may vary.

if you're gonna spend $700, just buy a decent notebook. i didn't even know they made $700 netbooks. kinda defeats the point of their existence, as a cheaper, less powerful alternative to a notebook.

why am i even here

Yeah, don't buy a netbook if you want to game. Just buy a decent smaller notebook if you want a smaller one.
