2009 TPWW.NET MOST IMPROVED WRESTLER
Continuing on with the 2009 End of the Year Awards segment that I have brought to this forum...We have closed the voting for the Rookie of the Year and Wrestling Forum Troll of the year awards and we moved on to the next category. We move to the Most Improved Wrestler of the Year category. The criteria for this award is simple, vote for the wrestler that you feel has most improved from 2008 to their current status in 2009. Write-In votes are allowed and will be considered, the only criteria for this award category is that the wrestler must be currently active on a company's roster and must have been active in a mainstay company in 2008 as well. Non active competitor's, competitors under a different gimmick, or competitors non active in the previous year will not be counted in the vote. Good luck and HAPPY VOTING!!! |

CM Punk doesn't get my vote because he was already a great wrestler. This isn't about who is getting a push, or world titles. Punk was already main event quality before he came into the WWE. They are just finding out about it now but he already had the goods. The Miz is the most improved superstar on the roster. He didn't come up from ROH he came from MTV. He was signed as a gimmick because he was popular on MTV and did well on Smackdown's Tough Enough. He floundered on Smackdown for awhile before moving to ECW and meeting a guy by the name of Morrison. The rest is history. Be Jealous. |
I voted CM Punk, but I'm actually torn between CM Punk and The Miz. Punk really picked up his game when he turned heel, but Miz has also managed to step away from his annoying reality-star thing and really developed as a legit wrestler.

I voted Danielson, because he went from being a guy who a few people had heard of to the guy everybody can't wait to see debut.

Giving it to The Miz over Ryder and Ziggler because besides his ring work improving, he's managed to connect with the crowd like no new wrestler has in years.

Guess the reason I didn't vote for Miz was since I knew back when he was still doing Tough Enough that he had a lot of potential at least a heel anyway too bad WWE didn't.
