The next issue of Inside Wrestling features The Rock and John Cena on the cover of the magazine with a headline reading: “Hot WrestleMania Rumor – John Cena vs. The Rock.” The sister publication of Pro Wrestling Illustrated claims that the “mega-bout is closed to being signed.” The article’s synopsis reads: “The relationship between The Rock and John Cena is strange. Cena respects all The Rock has accomplished yet seems to resent it at the same time. That is why “The Champ” is pining for a match with The Rock at WWE’s showcase event. Word is, this mega-bout is close to being signed

Not sure that I like the sound of this i'd hate to see Cena go over but it would be an opportune time to start turning him heel I guess otherwise thumbs down.

Cena resents the Rock's accomplishments? Seems to me all he's ever resented is Rock's departure from the business.

So there gonna go with Cena resents The Rock as the story? why would they turn Cena heel to accomodate a 2month long fued, unless Rock wanted back for a year or two.
Throwing Cena vs Taker out the window is crazy cos if Rock does return i think he'l work with Triple H since that fued is one of the greatest ever.

Since Cena reportedly "resents" Rock, I'd love to see the match booked for Mania 26 if (and ONLY if) it means we'd get heel Cena back. And not just for 2 or 3 months, either.

There is no doubt in my mind that Cena can sell. I think it's Vince McMahon who decided that Cena should no-sell after every match.

I don't think it matters if The Rock stays at all or not. If Cena was to resent The Rock and also go over him in a match I think this would make him the biggest heel in the company. It's kinda sad but The Rock is probably the most over man in the WWE right now and he doesn't even do anything. Cena beating him and them not having a friendly relationship would make super Cena super heel.

If they were to make Cena heel, it probably would be more similar to HBK being the heel against Hogan and then the next month went back to normal. Wouldn't be surprised if the crowd ended up booing Cena like how The Rock got booed against Hogan in their Wrestlemania match.

There is no way the fans would cheer Cena against The Rock. If they did do this program, then I would hope that they let the fans turn heel Cena, and have Johnny Boy point out that The Rock quit this business, and he "NEVER GIVES UP!"

I don't care what none of you fags say, i would pay the $60 or whatever to see that match. That match = $$$$

In fact, like others have stated, it would be an excellent springboard to launch Cena into being a heel.

This would be a BADASS main event... WAYYYYY Better than Cena Vs. Taker... I would love to see Taker go out with Taker Vs. HBK part 2...

And one of the undeniably best ways to turn him heel as well. After at least 5-6 or so years of them refusing to turn this guy heel because of merchendise, I for one, am expecting something massive to happen for him to finally be hated. In reality, the general fan might be so sick of him that they'd buy any type of turn but getting the kids to hate the guy may be tougher than expected.

A Cena/Rock program would not only be entertaining but would make for ONE HELL of a Cena turn. I'm all for this.

This would probably be the biggest match after Hogan vs Rock I. Just saying I am not a Cena supporter but I really enjoyed his match against Batista at Summerslam last year.

I mean, the fans started to turn on Cena against Chris Jericho that year. They should have gone with the double-turn there. Christian was also getting so much fan support, and Matt Hardy returned to the company as the hottest act going around. If they had put Matt Hardy a little more strongly over Edge, Hardy could have very easily done some good for the company.
