Who needs a DVD?

Outside of the obvious response: Chris Jericho...

I think Show could use a DVD. He's been around for well over a decade and has almost always been near the top of the card. Can't believe he hasn't gotten one yet.

So who else needs a DVD?

Stickman 12-04-2009 12:51 AM

RVD

Team Canada 12-04-2009 12:53 AM

they did Edge, why not Christian...beats the shitty Botchtista DVD anyday

CWK 12-04-2009 01:26 AM

Chris Jericho

Also, a multi DVD set of the life and career of Andre the Giant containing a full documentary, and many matches. Very surprised they haven't done one on the 1st WWE Hall of Famer.

Wouldn't mind seeing a DVD set on Bobby "The Brain" Heenan either.

While Heenan has been very instrumental in landscaping the professional wrestling industry, i'm just not sure if WWE could fit enough into making a full length bio documentary and extras to consider a DVD for Heenan alone...might make WWE look like they are just pandering us with filler material. I think today's generation of fans may not know enough about or have the appreciation for the work and contributions from back in the day that Heenan has made.

I think if they did a collaboration DVD on history of Manager in Wrestling, that is where a good spot could be done on Heenan.

WWE has done a DVD called The Greatest Managers, which covered all the great managers from many differnet wrestling companies. The DVD ends with Vince McMahon saying "Bobby Heenan had it all, in my book, the greatest of all time."

Team Canada 12-04-2009 01:49 AM

shows how much I pay attention to WWE's DVD and Video library. Must have not been a good seller. I never saw it in our local Wal-Mart. Where I live we don't have Barnes and Nobles, Best Buys, or any other big name corporate retail chain place where we can by wrestling DVD's. I get what Wal-Mart puts on the shelf and whatever I can get off the net without paying an ass arm and a leg for International Shipping.

CWK 12-04-2009 01:50 AM

A Heenan DVD set would be awesome, he is my all time favorite manager by far as has a long career to cover. I would like to see more matches from him back when he was a wrestler like in his AWA days, plus he was a great manager in AWA long before he got to WWE. I think a documentary covering his life, his wrestling career, his managing career, his broadcasting career, fun times on the road, time in WCW, funny moments, health issues and all of that would make for a compelling story.

WWE.com is a great place to get the DVD's online. If you can wait a bit, alot of the times they get real cheap like 8 to 13 bucks and shipping is not that bad usually.

Did the Road Warriors get a DVD yet?

Team Canada 12-04-2009 01:53 AM

I think WWE should do a DVD on the "Greatest Undercard Wrestlers" of all time. Showcasing the guys in the 80's, 90's, and early 2000's who had that company calibur attitude and blue collar work ethic, but never made it to the top or held the big one in any of the companies. I think they should make selections from the JCP's NWA in the 80's, WWF Obviously, and WCW. That would be a great DVD in my opinion and I would watch it.

Team Canada 12-04-2009 01:53 AM

Road Warriors have had a DVD

Yeah they did, a couple of years ago. 2 disc set with full documentary on both of them, how they met, trained together in Minnesota, careers, death of Hawk, etc. Plus a ton of great matches, one of the favs in my collection.

Team Canada 12-04-2009 01:56 AM

thank you for the link, i am definately considering picking that up

Stealth-Icon 12-04-2009 01:56 AM

They should do one on the "misfits" of wrestling. George the Animal Steele, the Oddities, The Moondogs Spot and Rex, etc

Lock Jaw 12-04-2009 01:57 AM

Fake Diesel.

Or better yet, Kane.

It can be called "The Rise and Fall of Kane" and it can document his many monster pushes and their ensuing trend of not going anywhere.

CWK 12-04-2009 01:57 AM

WWE should make some big bucks and start re-releasing full WCW PPV's on DVD. I would love to have the Halloween Havoc's, Starrcade's, Great American Bash's, etc.

Team Canada 12-04-2009 01:57 AM

Kane had or has a DVD I believe

You should. Its only one disc, but the documentary is really good and even has some matches on it like the Greg Gagne vs. Bobby Heenan weasel suit match from the AWA.

CONFIRMED:

There you go, 2 disc set only $12.73

Team Canada 12-04-2009 02:05 AM

Rise and Fall of ECW and Monday Night Wars were both good dvd's and i'm very proud to say that they are in my collection already and will be for years to come.

CWK 12-04-2009 02:08 AM

The Rise and Fall of ECW DVD documentary was easily the best one ever made. 3 hours long and covered pretty much every aspect, star, and significant information about the company from the time it was founded to when it was folded. Awesome DVD.

Stealth-Icon 12-04-2009 02:11 AM

I am actually surprised that Vinny Mac hasn't done one on himself. His upbringing with his father, announcing, taking over and "conquering" the other territories, ECW and WCW to make the juggernaut that is the current WWE.

Vince does have one called "McMahon" on WWEShop.com for $10.10

Its cool man, I do know that pretty much all those DVD links I have sent in the forum are for clearance DVD's so they will be gone soon.

Here is the link and yes its a real link. Juan apparently thinks I am sending spam for whatever reason when every link is real and legitimate. Just a little ignorance on his part I guess.

http://www.wweshop.com/item/mcmahon-dvd/Dvd/35-00535

maybe he wasn't looking at the forum right, even moderators are human bro

Team Canada 12-04-2009 02:43 AM

hey thank you for whoever unlocked this

CWK 12-04-2009 02:51 AM

So how about the WWE DVD's huh

Team Canada 12-04-2009 02:51 AM

I think its time and been well worth the wait to have a Randy Orton DVD

CWK 12-04-2009 02:54 AM

Wouldn't mind seeing a DVD set on different families in wrestling like The DiBiase's, The Guerrero's, The Hart's, The Von Erich's, etc. Maybe a profile of each wrestler and how their family influenced wresrling and some matches, that would be good.

CWK 12-04-2009 02:57 AM

I have seen the DVD on The most powerful familes in wrestling that WWE put out a while back, but I would like to see a DVD set on just The Hart's, or just The DiBiase's, etc.
