Better Wrestler #110 *Hall of Fame Round*

Note from the Better Wrestler Brain Trust: in the event of a tie, the defending champion moves on. The challenger that ties is eliminated, but does not receive the usual 50 round loser's penalty, and is eligible to participate in the competition again at any time. If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to share them.

You should have just let your vote decide, think of the controversy!

thedamndest 12-05-2009 01:17 PM

This match is better anyway. I don't think I could have stood 3 pages of "Owen Hart versus the Undertaker" jokes.

Cool King 12-05-2009 01:25 PM

I thought that both RVD and Owen would go through to this round. Just like what happened with "Better Movie #43" when Aladdin, Caddyshack and Sin City all went against each other.

Anyhoo, my vote goes to The Undertaker.

Nark Order 12-05-2009 01:27 PM

I'm going with Undertaker via the "Come on." logic.

Rammsteinmad 12-05-2009 01:29 PM

Rob... Van... Dam...

Supreme Olajuwon 12-05-2009 01:30 PM

If it makes anyone feel better, I was leaning towards voting for RVD, so the outcome is the same, but now Owen can still come back.

Nicky Fives 12-05-2009 02:03 PM

Undertaker, plain a simple.

The Gold Standard 12-05-2009 02:09 PM

The Undertaker.

RVD is good, but The Undertaker is in a league of his own.

muffalufagus 12-05-2009 03:09 PM

The Whole F'N Show! I love The Undertaker to death, don't get me wrong, but RVD was the man I loved the most when I was really into wrestling. I just have found RVD's career to be more entertaining than Takers only because Taker had a few years of really shite gimmicks and matches.

redoneja 12-05-2009 04:33 PM

Undertaker. I think he could easily be placed in the top tier of wrestlers (HBK, Bret Hart, Flair, Angle) but he has perennially been placed in feuds with guys that could barely work (Giant Gonzalez, King Kong Bundy, Mabel, Mark Henry, Khali, etc). He's been able to adapt his in ring style over a 20 year period to work well with anyone, from lumbering hosses to technicians like Angle and Hart, to more fast paced wrestlers like HBK and Jeff Hardy.

Verbose Minch 12-05-2009 05:15 PM

Undertaker is so far ahead of RVD it isn't even funny.

Stealth-Icon 12-05-2009 05:17 PM

As much I like RVD, Undertaker stands alone. DeadMan Walking for the win

CWK 12-05-2009 05:52 PM

The Undertaker, by a long shot.

The Undertaker, easily.

Thanks for clarifying, your first statement was kinda vague.

Jannettyzilla 12-05-2009 06:05 PM

I went with RVD. I've never felt Taker was as good as his pushes indicate.

For example, the push is the only difference between Taker and Kane.

Jeritron 12-05-2009 06:08 PM

what about the face burns?

XCaliber 12-05-2009 07:17 PM

Wouldn't have mattered what the matchup was Undertaker will not do the job not even in this poll.

Lock Jaw 12-05-2009 10:58 PM

Anyone but RVD.

.... though Taker happens to be one of the best there is.

Emperor Smeat 12-06-2009 04:27 AM

Surprised this is the Undertaker's first round on this contest.

Undertaker by a lot. His heel character during the Ministry period was his best heel version character with the American Badass period as the Undisputed Championship as a close 2nd.

Supreme Olajuwon 12-06-2009 04:30 AM

This is the Undertaker's 2nd round. He previously lost to Shawn Michaels in round 43.

Didn't notice it the 1st time looking at the list until you mentioned it. I ended up thinking that one as The Rock since noticed "The" in the name and continued with the list.

Now I`m cool with y`all runnin this however you feel but the origional method for handling ties is as follows:

In the event of a tie the champion retains his title. But it DOES NOT count as a victory. In this case rvd would have continued with 3 wins. this too should be him going for his 4th win and NOT a HoF round. To go into the HoF you need 5 WINS. NOT 4 wins and a i tie. The man who challenged and tied would then face either the next champion or go up the vaccant title, which ever came first.

...but again this should not be a HoF round.

Phenomenal 1 12-07-2009 02:11 AM

well played good sir...check and mate...

This could be chalked up as my fault. Supreme consulted me about the tie policy and I told him that the champion retains, and the challenger can rechallenge at anytime. I forgot the bit about the round not counting though.
My fault.

The Mackem 12-07-2009 04:45 AM

FFS Jeritron!

Destor 12-07-2009 07:35 AM

no big really. btw, i meant to vote for taker and clicked the wrong thingy, just ftr.

Tazz Dan 12-07-2009 07:45 AM

fuck me Destor, that could have been the deciding vote!!!!! :p

The Jayman 12-07-2009 09:10 AM

The Deadman all the way

Indifferent Clox 12-07-2009 10:32 AM

RVD can wrestle better.

Ermaximus 12-07-2009 11:34 AM

Taker gets inducted into the BWHOF before Christmas.

Indifferent Clox 12-07-2009 11:39 AM

RVD should win this. Undertaker should win to. I can't disagree. But come on. Dragon kid v. Shingo next time. William Regal v. Cima

Ermaximus 12-07-2009 11:42 AM

No Clox, next round will be Taker vs. Kamala. :shifty:

Supreme Olajuwon 12-07-2009 12:28 PM

Destor drops the hammer

Ermaximus 12-07-2009 12:35 PM

I just noticed that Cena has never been used in this and I fucking love it!
