Final Fantasy: Advent Children
 

This is the movie sequel Final Fantasy VII. So what does everyone think it's going to be like. Success or not?

Anyway I have a feeling there will be something with Sephiroth. Like someone revives him using black magic.

I know im not the only one here who has seen the trailer for this. This thing looks so bad ass. The graphics are just amazing and everyone just looks great. Its suppose to be I believe 2 years after FF VII ended. And the trailer for it does show Sephiroth for those who havnt seen it. So hopefully this will be great. There is a thing going around that this will be released on its own or it might come in a 2 pack with the updated FFVII game.

Although Sony apparently has no hand in making this movie, you gotta believe that they could make a profit out of this. If they aren't helping with the movie, then there is no loss for them.

If the movie does well, they would sell heaps of copies of FFVII, and maybe remake it on PS2, as well as maybe an Advent Children game. :y:

I'd like to see a plot where Aeris had a daughter, who's probably about 4 or 5, with Tseng, and how she possesses the same powers that Aeris had before she was killed. Somehow work that into a story where Cloud reunites with everyone from FF7 and have them search for the white materia.

Yeah, that's a shame because the movie itself wasn't that bad. I guess they should just stick to the storylines they know everyone loves.

Hopefully this movie will be better than the first one. I wasn't exactly fond of it.

Chocobo from HELL!

I kinda liked the FF:TSW movie, but it really had fu</>ck all to do with FF in any real sense.

It's kinda like Highalnder 2. It prolly would have been a better movie without the pretense that it was tied to the series (Though H2 would still suck).

Well there were a few similarities between the movie and Final Fantasy VII.

Well obviously theres the Gaia thing, the planet having its own life-force, just like in FFVII with the planet having a lifestream, a spirit.

Also, the Zeus cannon, they targeted the crater where the alien Gaia meteorite made impact, in FFVII they use the Junnon cannon to target and fire on the Northern Crater where Sephiroth is hiding.

Other than that though, there is nothing really going for the movie, I've high hopes for this movie though, when will it be out? Where can I view a preview for it?

The action was AMAZING.

The story wasn't anything special.

i downloaded it last night with the english sub file and i couldn't sleep so i watched it......


all i can say is that if this were a game, the second it got on the shelves... all other games would melt down in it's presence.

Action = Awesome. Mind blowing.

Story = So so. Then again im going to get some decent subtitles because the ones I had seemed a bit iffy.

yes, but they pushed back the DVD and PSP release to "late november"

God I hope this does well. I know I am not the only one who has heard the rumors that based of the success of this movie it weather or not they are going to re-release VII on PS3. If anyone wants I can upload the opening video of FFVII which they have already done to demonstrate the new graphic card or whatever it is for the PS3.

Agreed. This FAR passed any expectations I had for it.

Some parts of it were pretty ROFL though. *SPOILERS - Highlight to read*

The Turks in particular. I loved them in the game so much, but seeing them on the screen in all of their badassery was the icing on the cake. I can't exactly see Reno putting "Yo" at the end of every sentence, but he and Rude played their roles well. I was also shocked to see Tseng and Elena alive after catching Rufus in the net. I kept thinking Tseng died in the Temple of the Ancients in 7, and then again when Kadaj showed Rufus their bloody ID cards, so it floored me.

Heh, i've seen this like, 8 times now :cool: Still badass.

Pretty disapointed that I got like 85% through and couldn't get the ending.

Reno & Rude OWN, they are both so cool in this film, I thought their fight against *SPOILERS* at the end was one of the best.

Cloud, Tifa and all the rest rock also, I especially liked the music for all the fights.

The soundtrack is awesome.

Advent Children Delayed Again

Anime on DVD and Digital Bits report Sony Vice President of DVD Programming & Content Michael Stradford has stated that the company is hoping to release the CGI feature Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children, based on the popular Playstation game, by the end of 2006. The reported reason for the extra time is to complete supplementary material.

Just saw it on internet (though it was japanese WITHOUT subtitles) Bit disapointed my fav. character Red XIII had such a small part, but I'll get over it.

So I kinda watched the film and had to guess what was being said by their actions.

So if someone who's seen it could answer my questions???

1. Is Denzel Cloud and Tifa's adopted son, cuz that was the impression I got? If so, what's going on between those two(Cloud and Tifa)???

2. What happened to Tseng and Elena?

3. How did Cloud die then come back to life?

4. Was it explained how the hell Rufus was fine with nothing wrong with him?
