Would it work?

I guess it would come down to everybody listing their game of the year for any system they had played on during the year. Probably starting in January so people can get those imprtant Christmas gaming sessions in before they make a final decision. Is there any interest in this or do you think it will be a non event with certain games inevitably coming out on top?

Fallout 3 on PC

Modern Warfare 2 on XBox360

Modern Warfare 2 on XBox 360.

Uncharted 2 on Playstation 3.

Batman: Arkham Asylum on any system

It may work. Give it a try. The big thing is nominating games. You need to lay down the categories involved.

I had ideas for this sort of thing half a year ago but I figured these guys wouldn't be for it.

Just do like best FPS, best RPG, best Fighting Game, Best Action game, best Sports game, etc. Try to limit it, but not have a ton of categories. It may work that way.

On a side note, I just wanted to say I love my Wii again solely because Mario Kart for the SNES, and Zombies Ate My Neighbors are FINALLY downloadable. Now I just wait for Donkey Kong 64 and Jet Force Gemini.

I was thinking that, even though the overall GotY will probably most likely become most popular game on the most popular system

Wii game of the year is Madworld

I couldn't get into Madworld tbh. It felt like a much more watered down version of The Running Man to me.

FTR, Fallout 3 came out in 2008. The DLC came out in 2009, unless you go by the GOTY edition.
