Favorite GH or RB Game?
My two favorite are Metallica and 80s. But Metallica would be the one I would have to choose.
|
Metallica and Rock Band 2.
|
Guitar Hero 5 also.
|
Damn didnt realize till I got done with the poll how many titles were actually out there.
|
RB2/GH5

Rock Band 2 by a mile, but after that mile, The Beatles: Rock Band comes in pretty close. Has all kinds of great Beatles' stuff that a lot of the younger generations probably hadn't even heard up until the game's release, and I'll bet there's probably plenty of original hippies out there who just like to sit there and "trip out" to their fav. Beatles' tunes.

GH5 would probably be my top choice if they had a better soundtrack. Everything just fits seemlessly for the most part. As it is, RB2 had a killer soundtrack and great gameplay mechanics.
|
And the DLC don't forget. As Guitar Hero DLC has been for the most part pretty shitty.

I honestly wasn't counting DLC, but you've got a point. Even if RB2's soundtrack sucked ass, I could still rock out to hundreds of songs made for DLC. Whereas it's nice to supplement GH5 with what little DLC I have, but I don't even buy DLC for it unless I'm concerned it won't come to Rock Band because they don't have much support. Although, I don't have to play the same 5 metal songs over and over again to complete cities in GH5. I mean, they advertised an unprecedented number of songs, and then they're like " Eh. Just make them play Testament and Mastadon 20 times in a row. Nobody'll notice." |
I'm honestly hoping the next RB will be in the form of RB 3, and not another band-exlusive game, albeit The Beatles was pretty great. Hard for it not to have been with all the attention paid to the songs, their careers, etc. though.

Call it wishful thinking, shit I dunno.

It's The Beatles: Rock Band, not Rock Band: The Beatles.

Absolutely loved GH2, bought both the PS2 version and the 360 one when I upgraded. Has such an amazing setlist and what dlc it had was pretty decent.
Out of more recent additions though, Rock Band 2 takes the cake. |
GH5
