Better Video Game #23: Devil May Cry 3 vs. Ninja Gaiden Sigma vs. God of War 2

Those tree-houses with the sign that reads "No Girls Allowed"? That's this thread right here. These hardcore challenges of the most ferocious kind are also three of the best action games of the genre. From Dante's stylish slaying all the way to Kratos brutal massacre, and plenty of swift ninja killing in between - these games are almost medicinal in their relentless combat. And before Bayonetta likely snatches the throne (and doing away with that sexist tree-house sign), these three action gems are going head to head to head in BVG #23. Vote wisely, any one of these guys can kill you with a serious stare.

Ninja are badass, silent, killing machines. Ryu kills them by the truckload.

Most people get killed. This cyclops and his rider are about to get Kratos'd. He's another category entirely.

Shit, I thought I was voting for just Ninja Gaiden. Sigma was too watered down. :(

I'm talking about the first Sigma. I remember it being a refined version of the original.

I don't play for achievements, not primarily. Gamerscore always seemed pointless to me.

Still, I've always had mad respect for anyone who can 100% DMC4, FFXI, Rumble Roses XX, and/or NG2. It's more of a friendly challenge.

All I do is Bloody Palace. Probably gonna do the game on a harder level now.

DMC4 is so fucking awesome.

God of War II, hands down. Game is incredible, and has great replay value trying to beat it on Titan mode and collect everything.

GOW II by far

I love DMC but its not even the best in its own series IMO

NG is awesome but its difficult just to be difficult/harder than it needs to be act gets tired after awhile
