Iron and Wine - The Shepherd's Dog
 

Anyone heard this album?

I was not a fan of the early Iron and Wine - too simple, too melodic - but this album is pretty great.

He adds a lot of interesting instrumentation and uses crazy rhythms and song structure.

Yes I love all of their catalog....The Shepherds Dog is my favorite album by far because it is such an advancment for them.

Yeah, good band. A friend of mine roomed with one of the dudes in college

they sing that Trapazee song, right? I like that song, but never listened to anything else

I like "each coming night" and "cinder and smoke"

they also wrote the original version of the postal service song :"such great heights"

No "they" (he) didn't.

oh wait i might be mixing that up, did ben gibbard write them and they just covered it?

Yes.

Realing fucking hate Iron and Wine. But you used to have this opinion so maybe I will listen to this and see if my opinion changes
