Droford 12-15-2009 04:05 PM

He looks like Don Imus minus the hair..

Maybe its just the cowboy hat.

Dave Youell 12-15-2009 04:06 PM

Legit sad after seeing that :(

FourFifty 12-15-2009 04:11 PM

I want to make a joke about how he put on weight, and mistook him for King Kong Bundy, but goddamn, Dave Youell's post sums it up.

Droford 12-15-2009 04:22 PM

is there such a thing as reverse liposuction?

FourFifty 12-15-2009 04:30 PM

Bundy has a bit too much, Bobby has a bit too little..... Can we say win/win?

I dunno, dude. I won't be swayed. I think there's been too many others that have come along and been able to top his talent. Gordon Solie a few decades back was pretty great, and J.R., whether or not he makes a return to the announce desk next year has consistently been awesome, especially in that he knows how to empathize with the fans, and he truly feels the same way as a lot of us viewers on a lot of things that go down, plus he'll hardly ever (if he ever has, even) back down from his opinion on something.

Anyway, yeah, wow, that's pretty f'd up, the pic of Heenan. I hope I'm wrong, but he may not be with us much longer...:(

I second that.... as far as pure entertainment goes, no one can top The Brain

Anybody Thrilla 12-16-2009 12:37 PM

Damn.

Supreme Olajuwon 12-16-2009 02:32 PM

Hey, on the plus side, King Kong Bundy looks great. Thought for sure that guy was going to make an early exit.

NeanderCarl 12-17-2009 04:21 AM

People are posting that pic everywhere like he wasn't already shown on camera looking way worse at the Hall of Fame. As sad as that pic makes me, it's an improvement on the last time I saw him. There's a vid on Youtube of the show where that Bundy picture was taken, and Heenan struggles to say a few words which are barely audible.

But they are in the process of rebuilding his jaw and I believe they're still only halfway through. He's had a tough few years and I think there's more to come. I just hope that when the process is fully complete it will give Bobby his speech back to a better degree, because I can think of no worse fate for a man like Bobby Heenan than to live out the rest of his life unable to talk. The man made his career with this mouth, and there was no quicker wit in the wrestling biz than Bobby.

I'll go on record and call Bobby Heenan one of the funniest men alive: no comedy actor, stand up or any other performer has made me laugh more, nor entertained me any better, than 'The Brain'.

It was Heenan, Flair and Perfect who made me a wrestling fan in 1992. I'm still with it today. Wrestling, over 17 years, has been a great joy for me - a joie d'vivre in a way - a great form of entertainment and escapism, and to some extent a minor passion and obsession (which goes for all of us really who take the time to post on here) and I honestly don't believe I would have become as hooked as I did in the first place if it wasn't for Heenan and his comedy. I have Bobby Heenan to thank for opening my eyes to something which has enriched my life, to varying degrees, over nearly two decades. I still watch his 80s and 90s stuff with a huge grin on my face. I wonder how many people in the world feel a similar way about the guy?

Wrestling needs more guys of Bobby Heenan's quality, but will never have another like Bobby Heenan because he is one of a kind.

NeanderCarl 12-17-2009 06:52 AM

I love the way that Bobby has simply substituted verbal humour for physical humour. Gotta admire a guy who won't let these kind of setbacks affect his sense of humour. Still making the people laugh.

Sixx 12-17-2009 07:12 AM

Sad.

He kinda reminds me of Freddy Krueger now.

Skippord 12-17-2009 05:47 PM

King Kong Bundy seems to be a shoe in for Uncle Fester in the next Adams Family project

SammyG 12-17-2009 05:52 PM
