Cena's vow. (spoiler or whatever)

Yeah so Cena vowed he will not lose until he regains the title. It makes me dislike him more.

Does this mean the Rumble too? If he gets his rematch at the Rumble or is in the Rumble itself, is it a guarenteed win?

It just seems he will be shoved down our throats now more then ever. Ugh

The Gold Standard 12-15-2009 05:57 PM

Didn't Swagger vow the same thing a few weeks ago?

I was thinking the same thing. Especially the Royal Rumble match itself. If Cena is in it, I'm pretty sure it's a guaranteed win for him.

I get the feeling that this whole angle is so he can win all his matches, look good in the process and regain the WWE Championship, all to give kids the message of "Never Give Up" or some nonsense like that anyway. :-\

Exactly. I'd be happy if he lost his next match...

setup: The Rock as special guest host of RAW puts Cena in a handicap match against Randy Orton, Big Show and The Miz.

BigDaddyCool 12-15-2009 06:41 PM

Cena can over come the odds of Orton, Show, the Miz, Jericho, and a special one night only Snitsky rehire. Then still have the energy for a bland promo.

jskinnyg 12-15-2009 07:03 PM

Ughhhh... That speech gave me F***ing nightmares... All of you are probably right... That will kill the RRumble for me... Thank GOD for the Power Hour...

Innovator 12-15-2009 07:18 PM

Does that speech have greater meaning when someone whos record isn't 363-3 says it?

Vastardikai 12-15-2009 07:23 PM

Let's ask Jack Swagger.

Droford 12-15-2009 07:30 PM

Sheamus should just get himself DQed like the show HHH and then not give Cena any more rematches like Cena did to Orton.

Xero 12-15-2009 07:52 PM

I have a baaaaaad feeling Cena will be taking the Rumble from number one.

XCaliber 12-15-2009 08:34 PM

Hey maybe this is wishful thinking but maybe the opposite will happen and he will go on a long losing streak and then just snap on the fans and then the heel turn.

The Pope 12-15-2009 08:42 PM

XCaliber better be right

See, this is what I want. I want him to lose every match for a while, and every match, do another "I'm sorry I let you down, I will not lose from here on out until I win the championship" promo.

One thing that bothered me is that he claimed his road to WrestleMania started on Monday. This makes it sound like he's main eventing... Again.

Indifferent Clox 12-15-2009 09:37 PM

sheaus will beat him in his reatch at the rumble

No. Swagger vowed, I think in October, that he was not going to lose a match until after the start of 2010. However, as we all know, that didn't work out.

He also vowed that he'd speak normally and not drown the crowds in his spit but we all know that will never happen either.

KYR 12-15-2009 10:21 PM

Only vitamins and saying your prayers will enable you to overcome the odds.

Sheesh. Everyone knows that.

Xero 12-15-2009 10:44 PM

Well, that, and you need at least 3 moves of doom.

Lock Jaw 12-15-2009 11:09 PM

This is why when other people I knew (off the internet) went "Yay! Sheamus won! Someone who isn't Cena is the champ!" I just slapped them in the head and told them that all that means is that instead of moving onto the next challenger (who would hopefully be better than Sheamus), the program would get extended and we'd see more of Cena then before.

RGWhat316 12-15-2009 11:53 PM

The whole promo in itself didnt make much sense. He just lost a match by luck, and all of a sudden, its the worst thing in the world. Its not even like he got pinned by Sheamus, he just fell through a table!

It was like the sound of a million marks crying out in horror.

For a while. But if Sheamus keeps retaining, and it comes down to a "no more rematches" thing like what just happened with Orton the last time he faced Cena for the title, that would be one way to open up the door to have Sheamus face a new challenger.

El Fangel 12-16-2009 12:19 AM

I like seeing good reasons not to start watching wrestling again.

Shadow 12-16-2009 12:25 AM

Anyone watch G Gundam? Wait till Cena goes golden every time he's about to win a match.

Mr. Nerfect 12-16-2009 02:44 AM

I don't think they should go with the undefeated streak until Mania. I think that Sheamus should retain the title in the rematch against Cena, who then AGAIN apologises. He vows to win the Royal Rumble, however.

Cena enters, and does win. With a bit of a chip of his shoulder, though, he bails to SmackDown! and tries to end The Undertaker's streak at WrestleMania. Cena fails in doing this, and that can lead to a heel turn for him. With Edge hopefully being back on SmackDown! as a face, perhaps we can get a reversed version of the Cena vs. Edge feud?
