Good topic. Unfortunately the 00's weren't nearly as good as the 90's for movies but still a lot of quality stuff out there. So yeah in no particular order except for #1 which might be the most powerful film I've ever seen. And I'm sure this list is wrong because I'm forgetting something

glad you can understand what "no particular order" means

Supreme Olajuwon 12-22-2009 06:34 PM

Also, gonna draw some heat here but I thought Batman Begins was as good or better than the Dark Knight.

Yeah I was thinking of putting it up there, but Heath's performance just did it for me.

I thought BB was a better movie.

Dark Knight is pretty overrated outside of the performances in it.

Jeritron 12-22-2009 06:54 PM

I think the 00s were far better than the 90s for movies

6. Chop Shop
7. The Son

Surprised about his number 1 choice, although I can't comment on the film itself as I haven't seen it yet, haven't seen number 2 as well. The only movie on the list I don't like is Juno. I didn't think 25th Hour was all that great either.

Damn, not sure about Synecdoche NY

I guess it was a "great" movie but it is so god damn convoluted that I can't imagine putting it on a top ten list

XCaliber 01-07-2010 12:22 PM

Went to see Avatar last night and it easily is in my top 3 now.
