Fuck Degeneration X
They've been lame before, but this is the lamest they've EVER been, by some margin. Shawn Michaels is great. Triple H is good. Together as the current version of DX, though? Awful. Absolutley fucking awful.
Who writes the DX material? Little People Court? Really? Is that supposed to be funny? Was there one person here who found that to be funny? Not only was it unfunny, it lasted about 20 minutes too long, AND a good chunk of it was replayed deep in the show for NO FUCKING REASON WHATSOEVER. I guess what I want to know is if any of you actually find the current DX entertaining. If so, I'm going to need you to explain/kill yourself. Whichever comes first. |
they're alright..... nowhere near the original stuff, but they're tolerable
|
A_T,
I hear you buddy, but I think you're missing the point. The WWE is targeting the 12 and under demographic. You and I might not find this funny, but I'd be willing to wager that a mass majority of 12 and under's (along with 35 year old redneck's in Arkansas perhaps) actually *do* find DX's antics funny. This demographic probably also finds John Cena entertaining. It's unfortunate, but that is the way things are. It's the same reason why Cena and/or DX have NOT turned heel despite them being spectacularly boring and uncreative for so many years. |
In general it's just really hard to like a face in today's WWE. DX will occasionally make a good smark joke and still puts on good matches, but I would rather have HHH and HBK on their own.
|
I'm not a big fan of DX right now.
Watching the whole "Little People's Court" thing was actually painfull to watch. It was like watching a couple of 8 year old kids playing a game where they had to pretend that they're in some magical midget world, when clearly it was just backstage, which actually made it worse the more they kept acting like they were still under the ring. It was kindof like the games kids play outside where they pretend they're on the moon or in the jungle or whatever. It was awful. I thought Zack Ryder's fantasy sequences were bad, but I think "Little People's Court" was far worse than any of those. |
so does Michael Stima enjoy DX?
|
The past two Raws were two of the worst ever. It's getting hard to watch, which is sad, because I've put up with a LOT over the years and I can almost always be entertained somehow. Not so much on Raw right now.

ABT!!! Don't be messen with the D Generatpn X!

I really wish these people voting 'yes' would explain themselves.
|
Something tells me that if HHH wasn't married to Steph, he wouldn't be putting up with this crap.
|
yea DX is terrible, but I don't expect much out of Raw anymore, so it doesn't really frustrate me like it has for the past few years. Until they get out of this kid friendly era, it will continue to suck
|
Triple H probably thinks DX is hysterical.
|
Whats to explain. They are just having fun while WWE is still kickin. One day TNA will take over.

You not see it happening?

I guess I must be sleeping on that one.
|
...not since my "Are U 50" sign was taken away from SummerSlam.
|
Triple H is holding down FourFifty too? This is out of control.
|
I bet HHH's first daughter with Steph finds the hornswaggle stuff hillarious.
She is like..4..prime target audience for the WWE right now |
Why did I know that James Steele would vote yes?
|
I find that when they are actually being serious, it is still possible to enjoy them. Parts of their feuds with Legacy and Jerishow had me very interested in them.
For the most part though, they act and look like goofballs who I know are both talented guys, and know I would enjoy them much more if they were apart. Also, HBK challenging Undertaker was made ridiculous by the fact that he looked like a goofball at the time, and after his moment of seriousness went back to being a goofball later in the show. Totally can't buy him as serious. Last year he was apart from HHH, and the whole Taker/HBK thing could really fly. I'm deeply concerned that it'll just be ruined by HBK being in DX this year. |
Yea I don't enjoy the skits and humor. Especially Shawn's whole goofy gimmick.
Still, I can enjoy their matches and fueds. I see nothing wrong with a TLC tag title fued with Jericho and The Big Show. Or a match with the Hart Dynasty. It's the plugs for shopzone and the midget skits that are boring, but at the end of the day it sells. Either way, I give them a yes because I love both wrestlers and for the most part it keeps them active and occupied without taking up pointless space in the title scene. Neither one of them is going to set the world on fire in the main event anymore, and it's frustrating to see HHH always holding the title, or Shawn always jobbing and never holding the title. A perrenial DX reunion might be stale on the segment side of things, but it has it's advantages and makes for some good tag action. |
I think the Little People Court is mostly what drove me over the edge. WAY too long and WAY too stupid.
|
Couple that with the fact that they had been talking about it for WEEKS, and it makes me furious.
|
not to mention the fact that they replayed 80% of it again right before the end of the show
|
I read a report that the live crowd was seriously upset. It was primarily a family crowd too, that was very pro-Cena and DX.
By the end of the night, they weren't happy I guess after the show went off the air, Jericho got superkicked and sold it for a few seconds, then stormed to the back like he was pissed about what he was involved in. Big Show was covered by the midgets and a ref counted it. This was their "dark match main event" |
I just think hornswoggle is bringing them down last week they were good when hornswoggle wasn't in the scene.
|
lol, DX.
When has DX NOT sucked a huge penis? |

Don't mention that year around Zen

I wonder how far this will go... I just e-mailed WWE about DX, and my sign getting taken away at SummerSlam...
I've been stewing over this since SummerSlam... Two weeks ago on Raw when Denis Miller was the guest host he said a few things that made a lot of sense to me, which completely contradicts what WWE says they stands for. Mainly, the freedom of speech. I went to SummerSlam, and paid for front row tickets. The trip cost me around $4,00O, most of which were the ringside tickets right by the ECW announce table. This brings me onto DX... A group that won't be told what to do, what to say, or how to act. The embodiment of DX lives in having a free spirit and doing what you want to do. I held up a sign that stood for what DX means, but by no means was I cheering for them. "Are You 50" Before DX came out to the ring a security guy came up to me and said he needed my sign. With one motion of his arm retracting with my sign in his hand, my freedom of speech, one of the freedoms our brave men and women of the armed forces has fought and died for, was retracted by a hypocritical corporation. So go on and keep waving your American flags for ratings, and shill out merchandise that says you're patriotic. If you wish to assuage an unsatisfied fan I will not settle for any apology short of a copy of The Self Destruction Of The Ultimate Warrior dvd. |

The point is, when you have guys like Cena and DX taking up 15 minutes a week every week and never losing a match you have a problem. That's why it's easier for us to like the mid-card guys, because there's actually a chance they could lose. But when you're an 8-year-old kid you don't want to see Cena struggle. You want to see him smash everything in sight. |
FourFifty is a concerned customer!
|
You wave your rights when you enter an arena. Why don't you try reading the back of the ticket before you spout cliches
|
Still, if you get your dvd then all the power to you
|
My ten year old cousin loves John Cena...but he also loves The Miz. I wonder why that is.
|
For a company that says they're pro-USA that says you cannot cheer or boo the way you wish doesn't seem like they support the freedom of speech.
It's like going into Olive Garden, getting their endless pasta bowl, and cutting you off at a bowl and a half. |
