Would you enjoy one "big celebrity" in TNA?

I'm not a huge fan of the "guest host of RAW" but it is funny to hear people who tune in just for that star, then start watching on a weekly basis. Do you think that TNA can kinda use a similar idea by contracting one "big celebrity/ athelete" to do a several month deal? I wasnt a big fan of Team Pacman Jones, and everybody knows how much Master P and KISS hurt WCW but I wouldnt mind seeing them try again.

i wouldn't mind seeing Megan Fox in TNA, she could be with Desmond Wolfe and they could be 'fox and wolf'

Rammsteinmad 01-01-2010 02:27 PM

Do non-wrestling fans actually tune in just to see the guest host, and then get hooked?

I didn't think that'd be possibly.

kareru 01-01-2010 02:34 PM

i think people just tune in for the celebs, and if the guest host the next week is one they don't like, they dont watch

Waylander 01-01-2010 02:37 PM

Unless it was somebody I really liked it wouldn't make much different to me. I don't tune in to see the celebrity, I tune in to wrestling shows to see the wrestling.

The celebrity thing might help hook old fans again or introduce it to new fans who might be casually interested and watch RAW every once in awhile.

No the people that started watching again werent complete non-fans. A guy I worked with hasnt watched wrestling in 15 years decieded to watch cuz Shaq was hosting. He was suprised guys like Big Show, Jericho and Mysterio were still around. He liked some of the new guys around too and now watches on a weekly basis.

The should have "The situation" host.

ClockShot 01-01-2010 03:50 PM

They have had Adam "Pacman" Jones, the Survivor chick, and A.J. Pierzynski.

All in the end, did not make one bit of difference.

Are any of them really "big celebrities"?

I honestly believe we'll see a UFC crossover sooner than later. And I mean more than just Ortiz or something, like they'll do a UFC fight at a PPV or something.

James Steele 01-01-2010 05:55 PM

Brock Lesnar in TNA?!! ZOMG THE RUMORS FROM 4 YEARS AGO ARE TRUE!!!!

Rammsteinmad 01-01-2010 06:01 PM

It would be like the WCW/Battledome crossover they attempted in 2000/2001, only better.

The Pope 01-01-2010 07:44 PM

Michael Jordan to TNA?

The Pope 01-01-2010 07:44 PM

Tiger Woods to retire from golf and head to TNA!
Finisher: Tiger Suplex

Wishbone 01-02-2010 12:15 AM

no TNA has no business doing this it has ruined RAW and I don't want to see this happen again (althow RAW was a bit lacking before the guest host deal anyway)

 Holy shit, I forgot about that.

The Pope 01-02-2010 09:47 AM

yeah, now i remember what James Steele says. The black guy on battledome from the spinning game where you had to knock him off of it was the guy in the tough enough which daniel puder won. Just thought i'd throw in some random fact. (not sure if its really him)

KayfabeMan 01-04-2010 06:16 AM

I'm thinking that the Hulkster may be able to swing Dennis Rodman back into the wrestling ring again now that he's in TNA. I could definitely see Rodman performing a few matches for TNA and he is pretty decent on the mic and in the ring for an outsider to the business - so that would be interesting.
