What do the Nasty Boys have to offer?
 

I'm sure that the reason that the Nasty Boys are back in TNA are because of there friendship with Hogan but what do you think they really have to "offer" the tag team division in TNA? I liked the Nasty Boys in the early/ mid 90's but they were never really known as great in ring preformers or good backstage guys. In fact wasnt there unprofessional preformances one of the reasons Dave Taylor was released in 2007 (the Nasties were very stiff and Dave was happy to be just as tough back to them)? I always thought that TNA's tag team division was one of the things that they did have over WWE. With the build up of newer teams and some exprienced teams to fued with them, it just seems that adding a team that really hasnt been a legit threat in about a decade in a half seems counter productive. Dose anyone think that the Nasty Boys have anything left to offer?

Apparently some people would love to see a Team 3D/Nasty Boys match? If your favourite tag team from the early 90's was The Nastys and the early 00's was the Dudleys then I guess a feud has appeal? But were the Nasty Boys ever that popular?

They have the following to offer:

1. Putting Jerry Saggs in a dress and giving him the Knockouts Title.
2. Giving Brian Knobbs the X-Division Title.

I've been kidding about the second one for a while. the first is a new one. But I can honestly see at least one of these things happen.

Yeah, I was thinking that Saggs gave his weight to Knobbs too.

Anyway, The Nasty Boys were never good at anything. They were the stereotypical 'wrasslin' tag team of the early 90's. They didn't have the WORST promos in the world, but their in-ring skills (if you can even call them skills) fell far below pretty much everyone else's.

Without Jimmy Hart and a timely motorcylce helmet shot, there's nothing to look forward to there.

The answer to your question is name recognition, and that's really it. And for those who only casually watched wrestling "back in the day", they won't really even have THAT much name recognition either. So I'm in agreement with "fuck all".

A few stiff hardcore matches and that's about it.

Not a damned thing, but if TNA brings in the Bushwackers next, we'll know it's hit a low point.

hogan will never have the world title and im so sure of this that i state in front of all of tpww, if hogan ever books himself to win the tna title i will never eeeeever watch tna again

The Nasty Boys are just plain nasty.

They were brought in for fans who grew up with that era like me, when I saw the Nasty Boys show up on the show I was like, "no way, I remember the Nasty Boys! Awesome!!"

Now, the Nasty Boys were never one of my favorite tag teams, but for me, it's awesome to see them again instead of tuning into TNA (or current WWE for that matter) for the first time and being like "who the hell is (insert generic named 'young' wrestler - aka wasn't a WWF superstar in the 80's-early 90's name here).

Nostalgia guys, nostalgia for the golden age of "wrasslin". :y: They gotta attract and bring in the ex-fans like myself who haven't watched wrestling since the early 2000's.

The thing is, the more they do this the more they alienate their core audience. Much like WWE has been doing.
