Randy Orton

Did anyone catch Randy's reaction after Dibiase came into the ring and did the old "hit and run". Randy was yelling at Kofi continuously calling him "Stupid". I'm not sure if this is significant or not, but maybe Kofi blew the end of the match?

Anybody Thrilla 01-11-2010 11:37 PM

I was wondering about this too. It's actually the reason I'm logged on right now to catch your reactions on it.

Londoner 01-11-2010 11:39 PM

I missed that bit.

Anybody Thrilla 01-11-2010 11:41 PM

Orton yelled "STUPID!" twice at Kofi after he hit the RKO, then he mouthed something along the lines of 'god fucking damn it' while he was celebrating with Legacy.

Londoner 01-11-2010 11:42 PM

Think he was pissed at himself for botching the start of the match?

Loose Cannon 01-11-2010 11:58 PM

I thought it was just Randy telling Kofi he was stupid for even trying to beat him once again. Stupid for coming into the match and thinking he had a chance.

Damian Rey 01-12-2010 12:03 AM

It was said in the Raw thread that Ted might've missed a cue as Cody was stalling the ref for a while. I didn't catch anything Kofi did wrong, and Cody did have to go out of his way to keep the ref distracted for a long period of time.

This makes sense seeing as how Rhodes was up on the ring for a good 25 seconds. But to break character like that, and on T.V? Orton is a great talent, but he needs to check his anger at the door, things go wrong all the time (If you've been watching RAW for the past year or so, nothing has seemed to go right )

Damian Rey 01-12-2010 12:19 AM

Ha. He didn't exactly break character. He yelled at Kofi, so it seems like he was calling Koif stupid for what could be a number of things. And it worked. I honestly thought it was different in a good way for Orton to yell at Kofi after laying him out but before pinning him.

DAMN iNATOR 01-12-2010 01:20 AM

I don't think there was anything wrong with the finish at all. Randy's RKO was one of the most wicked I've seen in a while out of him, and Kofi sold it, no pun intended, like a fucking CHAMP.

Damian Rey 01-12-2010 01:55 AM

Kofi always makes the RKO look like gold.

DAMN iNATOR 01-12-2010 02:05 AM

I see what you did there.

Lock Jaw 01-12-2010 03:10 AM

I hate it when people say "no pun intended". Just wasting a good opportunity for a pun.

This is an M.O. of Orton, though. When something goes wrong in a match with Orton, he's not really the best at playing things smoothly. Three incidents come to mind. Kennedy and the back suplex; Orton waiting to punt Piper and Kofi's theme not coming on; and that time Orton miscued with a steel chair, and then decided "Whoops, I'm going back out of the ring."

It seems Orton does his best "selling" when he is genuinely pissed off at somebody. I guess we will see judging by who gets punished over the next few weeks. I mean, Orton has the power to get guys hired, and then get them fired -- so I'm sure if Orton is pissed, we will know about it.

Nicky Fives 01-12-2010 08:01 AM

DiBiase didn't exactly do a great job of chopping Kofi's leg out from under him from the turnbuckle, and Kofi sold it "1995 Shawn Michaels style" like he was shot out of a cannon..... maybe that has something to do with it.....

Sorry Loc--er, Mr. T, sir...:(

Savio 01-12-2010 10:59 AM

I am quite happy Orton won the match, I think this is the first time a face was not involved in the main event.

I have to agree, I rather see Cena in the Rumble, and Kofi I don't think is ready for a headline match... I think the Orton match will be cool, can't wait to see him hit the RKO on Sheamus!

kareru 01-12-2010 09:13 PM

i think orton wanted to do his viper routine and kofi wouldn't go down and got up to early

this...

DAMN iNATOR 01-13-2010 02:20 AM

LOL, so Randy was upset just because he couldn't use the "Hunting" version of his RKO? If so, what a maroon.

Mr. Nerfect 01-13-2010 02:52 AM

Just watched it. Definitely seems like he was pissed off at Kofi. When Kofi was getting up, Orton actually shoved him a bit. Also, Orton took a long time to hit the RKO. When Kofi got up, he let him stand there like an idiot for a while before he swooped in with the move.

Anybody Thrilla 01-13-2010 01:01 PM

You guys aren't even talking about how he mouthed the words 'god fucking damn it' afterwards.

You know monday was I th eonly one who heard the Crowd chant boring during the triple threat?

Mr. Nerfect 01-14-2010 03:20 AM

I really want to see Randy Orton moved to SmackDown!. Get him away from Legacy, get him on a show where he can wrestle, and I forget what a dick he is. Get him away from being boring.
