In the first shut out in BOTT history, Evolution's "Line in the Sand" comes out on top. Will be interesting to see how it fares in the tournament.

Next up is "He Who Shall Not Be Named", but I need to name him for informational purposes, Chris Benoit.

Whatever with Shooter in a close second, Jayman has it right with the Horseman theme.

The Too Much Information theme was given to him in late '99, just before he left for the WWF. He didn't have it for very long.

This is the best Horsemen theme btw

Shooter. I like Our Lady Peace and all, but I thought Shooter was more intense and foreboding.

Whatever. The lyrics summed up everything i loved about his persona. The aggressive underdog. Vicious and tenacious. That music playing after Royal Rumble 04 and Wrestlemania XX was so great.

He was my favourite wrestler (still is) and I don't mind admitting I was and still am, heartbroken by what he did.

Voted for "Whatever", but it was a marginal victory over "Shooter". One of the finer themes of its time. Whatever wins with me just becuase of what it defined him as; a main eventer. Even though it didn't last nearly as long as it should have, the pinnacle of Benoit's career will forver be backed by that song at Mania 20.

Plus, I gotta say WCW themes are crocks of shit, as usual.

You forgot his NJPW theme, "Jump (DJ Power Mix)" by Eskimo, when he was known as Pegasus Kid / Wild Pegasus.

Similar to the Evolution problem, Whatever is basically Shooter with lyrics, so Whatever wins. Scattered though is 2nd place for me.



Also, here's another one that needs mentioning:

Shooter has the better opening but Whatever is better when it gets into the lyrics so it gets my vote here.

I thought Shane Douglas used Perfect Strangers. Did they both use it? Surely there were enough Deep Purple songs to go around.

It was a tough choice but I voted 'Whatever'. I really like 'Replica B' though, definitely one of the better entrance themes to come from WCW, but it wouldn't have really fit Benoit much in WWE.

And on the subject of 'Whatever', holy shit at the video, I mean I always wanted another heel run from Benoit before he died, but shit, seriously that guy needed to be the psycho-killer wrestling machine gimmick (similar to 2000, but on a whole different level). He looks so demented and twisted in those videos, he really coulda pulled it off well.

I voted for whatever also.

Great idea. Let's bump a thread for a man who would kill you in the street if he was in one of those moods birthday with people debating his best theme, an aspect he had little control over as the companies he worked for tended to come up with them for him.
