TNA Genesis *Spoiler*

From PWInsider:

Say goodbye to the six-sided ring. TNA has a traditional four-sided ring set up in the Impact Zone for tonight's Genesis PPV.

TNA had been using the six-sided ring since debuting at Universal Studios in May 2004 for their first Impact taping.

kareru 01-17-2010 02:54 PM

i kind of like the hexagon ring

Fox 01-17-2010 02:59 PM

Thank God. The first move the "new TNA" has made that I completely and fully approve.

Xero 01-17-2010 03:12 PM

I'm wondering how they'll be explaining this. The announcers can't entirely ignore such a major change. I'd imagine that maybe Bischoff will do a promo on it or something.

Though I do believe they'll be using the six sided ring for a PPV down the line. Maybe they'll use it for Lock Down and the six sides of steel.

Fox 01-17-2010 03:21 PM

I fully expect the show to kick off with Hogan and/or Bischoff coming out to explain the change back to the four sided ring, and maybe The Band (terrible name, really) shows up and maybe Sting shows up in the rafters.

Just a guess.

Xero 01-17-2010 03:22 PM

Yeah, sounds about right.

What Would Kevin Do? 01-17-2010 03:39 PM

The Nasty Boys probably broke the other ring...

Dave Youell 01-17-2010 03:40 PM

I think it's a shame, it's not going to change the world or anything, but I enjoyed the Six Sides personally

On the upside, could this mean no more terrordome (PLEASE!)

kareru 01-17-2010 03:46 PM

i don't see why it would, but i hope it doesn't affect TBP's entrance

Fox 01-17-2010 03:57 PM

Apparently the first time Hogan stepped into the TNA six sided ring he hit the ropes a couple of times, looked around, shook his head to Dixie Carter and simply said, "No."

FFS he doesn't even hit the ropes when he hits his Atomic Leg Drop of Doom, Death, and Destruction anymore.

Dante69 01-17-2010 04:01 PM

HOGAN: "What about my fucking opponent, brother? He's got to hit the ropes so I can give him the big boot, dude, you want him to look like shit hitting the ropes for my big boot on account of a stupid six sided ring? Think again, brother."

I think this might actually be it. He's afraid he'll be confused when he tries to whip them for the Big Boot.

Amen

Lock Jaw 01-17-2010 05:55 PM

Maybe they'll do an angle about who stole the other two sides of their ring.

Xero 01-17-2010 05:56 PM

Maybe Cryme Tyme is the talent acquisition.

Rulebreaking Hour

Lock Jaw 01-17-2010 06:15 PM

MANHATTAN! MANHATTAN! IT'S LAW BREAKING TYME!!!

owenbrown 01-17-2010 06:16 PM

Nicky Fives 01-17-2010 06:25 PM

I dislike the change.....

jskinnyg 01-17-2010 07:10 PM

I prefer the four sided ring... tradition wise... but the 6 side never bothered me that much... BUT This has GOT to mean no more TERRORDOME! Thank God!

They'll probably make the Terror Pyramid.

The TERRORMID, if you will.

Londoner 01-17-2010 07:16 PM

Well atleast now we wont hear endless complaints about it, time to find something new to bitch about.

HAHAHAHAHAHA Nice...

VSG 01-17-2010 07:55 PM

Any news on the rumour that TBK is the mystery opponent to Amazing Red tonight btw? I would love to see him come and win the X-Division belt with the typical TNA tagline "WWE has-beens are better than our talent on debut itself!"

Oh and:-

Vastardikai 01-17-2010 10:06 PM

It actually looks bigger than the 6 sided ring.

Fox 01-17-2010 11:10 PM

It looks great. I love it.

St. Jimmy 01-18-2010 12:43 AM

That's a hell of an improvement.

Loose Cannon 01-18-2010 12:47 AM
