Impact Spoilers for Thursday. lol what a fucking mess.
* Before the tapings started, the Impact Zone crowd was addressed by members of the TNA staff. They talked to the crowd about not cursing, making obscene gestures, or gang signs. They called the crowd 'cast members' and basically told the crowd that they needed to be quiet.
* Hernandez and Matt Morgan defeated The British Invasion to retain the TNA Tag Titles. During the match, Rob Terry came out and had his X Division Title shot briefcase. Brutus tried to use the briefcase on Hernandez during the match, but he missed and hit Doug Williams instead. Hernandez pinned Williams. * After the match, Mick Foley came out and he hit Rob Terry with a chair. After Hernandez and Morgan left the ring, Foley said something to the camera that could not be heard by the crowd. * After pyro goes off, Ric Flair comes to the ring with two women. Flair says that he hates Hulk Hogan, but he loves TNA. Flair says that he is here to find the next 'Nature Boy'. Flair then brings out the 'next heavyweight champion' A.J. Styles. Styles comes to the ring in a suit and he is accompanied by a woman. Styles puts over the beautiful women in the ring and then the crowd chants 'You are married'. This causes Styles to laugh and there was an awkward pause. A.J. cuts a promo that utilized a style similar to his new mentor. * Kurt Angle comes to the ring with Hulk Hogan. Hogan says that he has changed his mind about Genesis being Angle's last title shot because he runs the show. Hogan announces that Kurt Angle versus A.J. Styles will happen tonight. Hogan says that it is 'damn real'. * Orlando Jordan defeats D'Angelo Dinero with a Flatliner. * It was announced that Ken Anderson will face Jeff Jarrett tonight. * Angelina Love defeated Madison Rayne after a bicycle kick. After the match, Love ripped Madison's shirt off and choked her with it. Velvet and Lacey come to the ring and they attack Love with the 'ugly stick'. * Hogan and Bischoff come out. They are tired of The Band running around and they want to see them wrestle. The Band come out and Waltman is smoking. Hogan says that since they don't have contracts, they don't have contracts, they don't work for TNA. Hogan has security escort them out of the building. * Nasty Boys defeated Kevin Nash and Eric Young when Saggs pinned Young after a pumphandle drop. * Mr. Anderson comes to the ring to cut a promo. He talks about his victory over Abyss at Genesis. Abyss is standing behind him and he attacks Anderson until Anderson is able to get out of the ring. * A.J. Styles defeated Kurt Angle with an ankle lock. This match was described as an 'Orlando Screw Job'. Earl Hebner was the referee for this match and he had them ring the bell. Styles, Flair, and Hebner left the ringside area. After the match, Hulk Hogan came out and Angle spat in his face. Angle went to the announce table and took Mike Tenay's chair and throw it into the stage. * Eric Bischoff comes out with blood on his forehead and states that Mick Foley is fired and then he leaves. * In an Xplosion Match: Dr. Stevie defeated Homicide with a Stevie-T. * Desmond Wolfe defeated Sean Morley with the Tower of London. This was a qualifying match for a tournament at Against All Odds to determine the number one contender for the TNA World Heavyweight Title at Lockdown. * Hernandez defeated Daniels in another qualifying match for the tournament at Against All Odds. * Ken Anderson defeats Jeff Jarrett after a low blow. Jarrett tried for the Stroke during the match but Anderson used the low blow. After the match, Anderson hit the Mic Check and then did his usual mic work. |
Remember the good old days, when Russo was writing?
|
I do like seeing Kennedy beating Jarrett, but the rest of the show looks worse than something WCW shat out in late 2000.
|
How much Hogan and Bischoff do you need on TNA to make it watchable? Apparently it isn't working.

They have four fans.
It's the latter. |
Telling the fans to shut up is the first straw in the eventual death of TNA..... At least this time Russo won't be the one to take most of the blame
|
If it was a live show I could understand them wanting the crowd to not start loud, obscene chants, but since it's taped and airs later, what's the feeking point?
|
Impact Zone = Wrestlings Twilight Zone

If they did, the face/heel dynamic would come off a lot clearer on television methinks. |
Also just read on the front page that Awesome Kong took a swing at Bubba the Love Sponge...Now that I wished we could see!

Well....after reading all the BS about the fans being told what to do and the Kong/Bubba drama, I wonder if TNA has bitten off a little bit more than they can chew. It is true that Bischoff believes that controversey creates cash. Just in a few weeks they have managed to create more controversey than they've ever had in the company. Now with that said, either they have gone too far with it in a short amount of time...or Bischoff has planned and counted on all of this and it's just crazy enough to work. Either way...it's crazy.
|
Fuck I just cant get into TNA. I've tried so many times for so many years. :/
|
i had high hopes for TNA but this is just awful
|
TNA seemed to have potential within the last couple months, but as predicted, Hogan and Bischoff are just running it into the ground. And all of the main TNA guys seems to be nowhere to be found, or just being jobbed out. Im no real fan of Eric Young, but as the youngest guy in that match, no way should he have been pinned.
|
Trouble has been brewing between the members of The British Invasion for some time. I do not want to see Rob Terry cash in the briefcase and win the X-Division Title, so I hope Doug Williams gets it from him, and gets a nice singles reign. The guy deserves it.
* Mick Foley is a good promo, so it'll be interesting to see what he has to say. * AJ Styles' new persona could be either hit or miss. I wonder if Styles will start calling himself "The Nature Boy." It could be a pretty good way to get him some heat. I get what they are trying to do by having Hulk Hogan take Angle's side. People thought that Angle would not be getting another title shot, but Hogan has come through. They just have to be careful that they don't devalue stipulations like that too much -- even if they benefit the face. * There is no way Orlando Jordan should be defeating D'Angelo Dinero clean. I get they want to make OJ look strong, credible or whatever, but Dinero is where they should be investing. Jordan getting a tainted win with help from Desmond Wolfe (because it sounds like he might only be on the second week of iMPACT!) could have been a better way to go about things. * The Angelina Love vs. Beautiful People seems to be off to a completely acceptable start. Love gets a solid win, Rayne loses her top; the heels get the numbers advantage, which will hopefully lead to Love getting a partner to face Sky & Rayne. I don't see anything wrong with this so far. * I get what TNA are trying to do with "The Band," I do, but so far they have been nothing but a mess. I hope this is the end of them. * There is no way The Nasty Boys should be defeating Kevin Nash & Eric Young. Not only are Nash & Young the leaders of a top heel faction in TNA, but Young is a singles champion, and until recently was a really hot character in TNA. I guess The Nasty Boys need to look strong, but they got their beat-down on Team 3D. They shouldn't even be appearing for TNA. If Hogan wanted to give his boys a win, Team 3D could have attacked and given them a disqualification win. * Everything I heard about the Ken Anderson vs. Abyss match at Genesis suggested they didn't really click. So TNA's strategy is to pair them together in a feud? Why? I know they feel the need to include something for everybody, but right now it might be best to leave the directionless Abyss off television while they establish new characters. * TNA doing the "screwjob" is pathetic. Styles could have retained the title in a more constructive manner. Perhaps they could have had someone help out Styles, and give Flair someone else to manage? This just doesn't sound interesting, and sounds like it will repel more viewers than attract. * Eric Bischoff firing Mick Foley could be interesting. I guess they are doing some sort of "anti-authority" role for Foley. I do think they need to get some characters off TV for a bit, and Mick Foley is one of those guys who just demands too much air-time (by nature of character, and not backstage attitude or anything). Foley being "fired" is better than Lashley wanting to "leave." That just makes TNA look crappy. * Homicide should have beat Dr. Stevie in their Xplosion match. I do like me some Stevie, and I am glad he has gotten a chance to work with some former World Champions in TNA; but after getting squashed by Matt Morgan & Hernandez, I don't think he really needs to be going over guys who should be used to rebuild the X-Division. In fact, Dr. Stevie is another one of those guys who could be left off TV for a while, and take a more backstage role while new characters are finding themselves. * I am really looking forward to the Desmond Wolfe vs. Sean Morley match. I'm sure they will work well together, and Wolfe going over is the right call. The Morley mark in me would have liked to have seen D'Angelo Dinero cost Wolfe the match, as payback for my suggested scenario where Wolfe cost Dinero a match against Orlando Jordan. Then you could have run Dinero & Morley vs. Wolfe & Jordan, or something like that. * Hernandez has got a marketable appeal -- I understand that. I do wish Daniels was used a bit better, though. He should really be looking for retribution against Sean Morley for his loss at Genesis, or something, claiming he was careless to lose to a joke like Morley. But I guess Daniels is just taking some time away from the title for a little while. * Ken Anderson going over Jeff Jarrett is the right call, in my opinion. They need to make Anderson look like he belongs in TNA. Going over the founder is a great way to do it. I'm interested to see where they go with Anderson in TNA; although I just wish they'd drop the Abyss thing. |

So much for hogan letting the talent step up for themselves. Saddling AJ with a gimmick that used to be on a fucking referee. "little naitch"
and using the fucking screwjob? Christ almighty. and the nasty boys? Fucking TNA squandering that great roster. |
Im not trying to really defend TNA but you guys do relize TNA will be tapiong 4 weeks of shows in 3 days since they are going on thier european tour . so it may look like a cluster uck and most likely will end up one on the final product . But who knows they can suprise us and make it all work
|
Pre or Post Hogan? Looks like the same shit from last year to me.

Wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooow.
That kinda....sucks. |
Yellow shirt fan is not impressed with TNA's faggotry.
|
Hulk Hogan can't make up his mind if he's a face or a heel.
|
Some thoughts:
Telling the fans what to do and what to think is a bad move, as already noted. Fucking ridiculous, and an obvious sign of a creative team that can't GIVE people what they want. Way to make your PPV stipulations seem utterly pointless by giving Kurt Angle another title shot against AJ Styles. And a screw job angle? Come the fuck on. That's played out even in the WWE, where it actually fucking happened! Ric Flair teaming with Styles could be a good thing, as the guy really doesn't have much in the way of charisma. But only if they make him a centerpiece of the show. Christopher Daniels losing is always a kick in the nuts. Especially when Orlando Jordan is getting a push on the same card. Mr. Anderson is a breath of fresh air for TNA. Desmond Wolfe is a good talent (with a shitty name) and Sean Morley in TNA is a nice touch as well. What the fuck? The Nasty Boys winning a match? I don't care if it's agains the equally over the hill Kevin Nash and Eric Young, who I don't give a rats ass about; it's the Nasty Boys. What a fucking joke. Way to kill all of your credibility, TNA. This isn't 1995 god damnit. |
What credibility?

LOL, a crazy thought just crossed my head.
What if Vince got Hogan and Bisch to go into TNA and run it into the ground? That would be the sickest thing ever |

Honestly though, I'd buy Angle more than Hogan. Angle's just gone insane with some of the demands. And, you know, literally. |
What a terrible show. For all the momentum TNA has at the moment, it isn't going to last with many more shows like this.
|
the show was worse than the spoilers made it seem
tna is terrible everytime i watch it. i think i'm just going to stop "hoping its good" because it was shitty when Christian joined, Sting joined, Angle joined etc.... there is the odd good storyline or match but it just lacks that x-factor that keeps viewers tuned in IMO. it's sad though because TNA has unreal potential |
so seriously someone explain why Orlando Jordan beat Pope
|
Quote:
They could also be testing out Pope's heat. If he can come out after losing to OJ cleanly, and get a nice pop, they can pretty much relentlessly depend on him. |
fair enough
still pretty sure Orlando Jordan had the gayest robe I've ever seen ever |
