Charisma and showmenship aren't the samething

None of you seem to get that. K thnx bai.

Londoner 01-21-2010 03:23 AM

And what do you base this opinion on? What posts made you say that?

Juan 01-21-2010 03:26 AM

My guess would be some of the posts in the Better Wrestler thread

Londoner 01-21-2010 03:28 AM

I haven't checked that thread...

Juan 01-21-2010 03:33 AM

Sting is owning Dusty :(

Destor 01-21-2010 05:18 AM

it was no one thread, post or poster.

The Mackem 01-21-2010 06:44 AM

Are showmanship and showmenship the same thing?

Well then your point is certainly valid.

Kane Knight 01-21-2010 09:28 AM

Most people here don't even get the fact that Charisma doesn't equal mic skills.

The Jayman 01-21-2010 09:37 AM

I'm a charismatic showman. Am I not the same?

Steveviscious89 01-21-2010 10:25 AM

You may be right, but are you aware that samething is actually suppose to be two words? Man....the last thing you want to do here is post a thread criticising us and then misspell two easy words in the process.

BigDaddyCool 01-21-2010 10:32 AM

If you want to split hairs, you are correct.

Testicle 01-21-2010 11:27 AM

1. Charisma-a spiritual power or personal quality that gives an individual influence or authority over large numbers of people.

2. Showmanship-the skill or ability of a showman

Showman- A theatrical producer. A man who has a flair for dramatic or ostentatious behavior.

Xero 01-21-2010 12:05 PM

How about you educate us, Bryan Danielson?

Anybody Thrilla 01-21-2010 12:06 PM

Spiritual? Really?

Anybody Thrilla 01-21-2010 12:07 PM

Steve Austin has charisma. Koko B. Ware is a showman.

Anybody Thrilla 01-21-2010 12:08 PM

Shawn Michaels is a charismatic showman.

Anybody Thrilla 01-21-2010 12:20 PM

Vance Archer has no charimsa and is not a showman.

KIRA 01-21-2010 05:42 PM

Mr. Anderson/Kennedy has charisma

Everything else (showmanship) is questionable

Charisma is an individual thng, people will get drawn to different aspects to characters.I was actually coming into the thread to use "Mr. Anderson" as someone who's a showman with little charisma.

I love Cordeilia-...i mean Charisma.

*Masturbates*

I agree with the premise of this thread. Mic skills nor showmanship relate directly to charisma. A guy can have a silent charisma about him. For example: I'm sick of people saying that Chris Benoit had no charisma. The guy had a no-nonsense, just gonna make you tap vibe to him. Benoit was charismatic. It's why he eventually rose above being a mid-carder and got to main event WrestleMania XX, and submit Triple H to win the World Heavyweight Championship.

Charlie Haas is another guy that I think gets mistaken as having no charisma, when in reality, his characters just don't often call for showmanship. He's got the straight-man, pure wrestler charisma. What the guy lacks is credibility. Or a desire from the writers to work with a talent with those sort of dynamics. But hey, at least the dude is getting paid.

The Mackem 01-22-2010 04:27 AM

Charlie Haas doesn't do it for me :(

Skippord 01-22-2010 04:32 AM

I am a charismatic enigma

NoRoolz 01-22-2010 08:54 AM
