if you were stuck living the same day over and over

like bill murray in ground hog day and you were watching wrestling. Which day would you like to be stuck on and why?

Stealth-Icon 01-23-2010 12:37 PM

An oil wrestling striptease match with the WWE Diva's vs. the TNA Knockout's. Just because I am a sick dirty old man.

El Fangel 01-23-2010 12:51 PM

The day WM20 fell on.

The Franchise 01-23-2010 01:11 PM

You did realize you'd be watching Awesome Kong and ODB in this right?

Savio 01-23-2010 04:10 PM

If I was reliving the same day over and over again I would not want to watch any TV repeatedly.

There would be enough others in the ring that would distract me.

If I was able to watch the show like it was "new" every day, I'd pick maybe WrestleMania X-Seven... I wouldn't want to re-watch ANY wrestling event every single day of my life. If I'm able to relive the same emotions and excitement as if I were watching it for the first time, it would probably be that one.

Or one of the PPVs when I was a young kid and really into it, like SummerSlam '92 or Royal Rumble 1993, where it was the most exciting thing in life to be watching a PPV they'd been building to for months!

If we're going to take into account the entire day as a whole, I might second Fallen Angel and say WrestleMania 20... just because I was 21, young and free, had a wicked night on the town getting drunk, then back to my mate's house with about 6 free pizzas from Domino's (I worked there at the time) and all the boys, for an event I thought was going to be incredible (and, for the most part, was). Or other similar such events that I remember for being a great evening of my life during a great period of my life, regardless of the actual wrestling event. A lot of the shows from 2000 would rank up there too.

Summerslam 2009.
It's the day, not just the event. Good times!

Anybody Thrilla 01-24-2010 12:53 AM

Silly premise for a thread. No matter how great any show was, you'd be sick of it seeing it every day. By the 800th viewing of Wrestlemania XX, you'd be praying for Katie Vick.

Skippord 01-24-2010 01:37 AM

I feel like this was supposed to be in casual

Rammsteinmad 01-24-2010 08:14 AM

The Franchise 01-24-2010 06:57 PM

Mania XX is tainted for me because of he who shall not be named.

Blue Demon 01-24-2010 08:51 PM

Yes...the Main Event was Eddie Vs. Angle :shifty:

Evil Vito 01-24-2010 09:55 PM

Yeah if the event is being re-lived each time as if it was brand new...WM 20. Benwho, Eddie, return of the Deadman, pre-suck Cena winning the US Title, The Rock 'n Sock Connection vs. Evolution, etc...good stuff.

...yes... :shifty:

But yeah WM 20 was awesome. Also as bad as Lesnar/Goldberg was, the crowd made that match super entertaining.

mike adamle 01-24-2010 10:55 PM

I'd say the Raw after Survivor Series 2001. Honestly, I don't really remember the wrestling on that show, but here's what I do remember. Paul Heyman coming out, only to get fired, and in comes the returning Jerry Lawler to take his place. Awesome. You have William Regal as the first member of the Vince McMahon Kiss My Ass Club, which gets funnier with every replay and King's comments and high pitched laugh each time. And of course, the return of Ric Flair. A good show indeed.

Zeeboe 01-25-2010 06:54 AM

I'd say the day of Wrestlemania 13, but I recall that being a pretty crummy weekend, so I wouldn't want to have to relive all that nonsense that went on then.

Eh, if I had this chance, I don't know if I'd wanna waste it on wrestling with all due respect. :) Most of my favorite wrestling shows took place when I was a kid, and while there were plenty of wrestling events I wish I could have seen such as Stampede in July of 97', and the 97' SS, I wanted to order those back then, but my damn parents wouldn't order it for me. So if I couldn't convince them then, I doubt going back in time, and having to relive those days over and over again would make any difference.

The Jayman 01-25-2010 08:29 AM

No Mercy 2002. Triple H vs Kane in a title unification match. Brock vs Taker in a HITC match. Angle/Benoit vs Mysterio/Edge to crown the 1st WWE Tag Team champions. Good Times
