The Jayman 01-26-2010 01:54 PM

Sting all the way

Lock Jaw 01-26-2010 02:16 PM

Ooh, good one. Can't decide right now.

Joesgonnakillyou 01-26-2010 02:50 PM

ooooooooooooooooooooohhhhhhhhh YYYYYYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!

This isn't even close for me.

The Franchise 01-26-2010 02:52 PM

"Macho Man" Randy Savage is better than Sting at everything.

Nicky Fives 01-26-2010 03:08 PM

I actually had to stop and think about this one..... I think it's pretty close, but I have to go with Savage

St. Jimmy 01-26-2010 03:09 PM

sting vs. sting! (Savage Wins)

Dante69 01-26-2010 03:53 PM

Sting

Hanso Amore 01-26-2010 04:22 PM

Both can claim to be top ten all time. Savage by a nose.

The Mackem 01-26-2010 04:29 PM

Going with Sting overall

Supreme Olajuwon 01-26-2010 04:41 PM

love that picture of Savage btw

not really sure why

Blue Demon 01-26-2010 04:43 PM

I went with Savage...grew up watching him.

Loose Cannon 01-26-2010 04:48 PM

wow, very very very tough one. I'll think about it.

VSG 01-26-2010 05:29 PM

I had to base my decision on what they made out of their career and Sting was more successful. Everywhere else they are a great match!

Supreme Olajuwon 01-26-2010 05:50 PM

That's not really fair though. If Sting did make more out of his career (debatable), it's only because he was constantly pushed as the babyface hero. And he was always pushed as the babyface because he couldn't play a heel to save his life. Savage was ungodly good as a heel, but that meant he had to lose a lot of his feuds to put the babyfaces over.

The Franchise 01-26-2010 05:56 PM

It's debatable who was more successful. Savage was insanely successful and made a shit ton of money, won close to as many World Title's as Sting and was voted #9 all-time by PWI or WON and Sting was #15 for best wrestler's or whatever.

The Franchise 01-26-2010 06:01 PM

Other than Hogan, Stone Cold, The Rock and probably Flair who's a "bigger star" or "more successful" than Macho Man Randy Savage of the 80s? I dont think Sting could make that claim no matter how big he was in WCW. Savage was RIDICULOUS huge.

Dante69 01-26-2010 07:00 PM

I don't consider Savage a bigger star then Sting...Savage had to bounce around between promotions to gain his fame when all Sting had to do was stay in 1 ....WCW

Nark Order 01-26-2010 07:18 PM

Savage and anybody who thinks different is wrong. WRONG! FUCK YOU!

Nark Order 01-26-2010 07:19 PM

Alright, I'll calm down.

Ridiculous logic.

Tb1 01-26-2010 07:28 PM

This might have been closer had you not picked such a great picture of Savage.

jskinnyg 01-26-2010 07:35 PM

Tough call... I ONLY go with Sting because he has re-developed his character more than once, and successfully so... Other than that, this is a really tough call...

So I guess Stone Cold isn't a bigger star than Sting either?

The Franchise 01-26-2010 07:46 PM

Also before Michaels, Randy Savage was Mr Wrestlemania k

3 vs Steamboat, 4 vs DiBiase, 5 vs Hulk, 7 vs Warrior, 8 vs Flair. Randy was a BEAST

NoRoolz 01-26-2010 07:49 PM

STING.

Randy Savage raps.

^ REASON TO VOTE STING.

FourFifty 01-26-2010 08:09 PM

Okay, I voted for Randy, hoping Randy would win this round, but I am saddened to see such a huge difference between Savage and Sting.

Innovator 01-26-2010 08:16 PM

Randy Savage

Apparently going off the deep end means he never had anything to offer in his entire career? Kind of ridiculous. Savage is in my #1 favorite wrestler of all time. I don't even know where to begin here...

I'll say this. Buy the Savage DVD and watch his very first match in a WWF ring against Rick McGraw. Most of the people in the arena (Unless they were AWA fans) had never heard of Savage before and from the very get go, Randy worked these people into an absolute fucking frenzy. He got them to absolutely want to tear his face off within the first 5 minutes of the match by using only facial expressions and body language. It was apparent in his very first match that he was one of the most gifted and charismatic wrestlers ever to step foot in the WWF at the time.

I like Sting and think Sting is a great performer but to compare him to Randy Savage... There's no way. Anybody who votes for Sting here either never got to see Savage in his prime or just has some sort of bias towards Sting. I don't really think an argument could be made that Sting was a better overall professional wrestler than Savage. Savage had everything.

VSG 01-26-2010 08:28 PM

I was talking about post-prime career, but ya no one can really say who was more successful in their prime.

Stone Cold was a mid card in WCW...a piece of shit in ECW and a Vince McMahon cocksucker in the WWE...I speak my peace:cool:

Nark Order 01-26-2010 08:59 PM

Dante69, it's time to take after nick5555 and rename yourself DantySixNines.

I was joking you silly old noggin, you.

Although, I do recommend votes for Sting. Sympathy votes if nothing else :'(

Nark Order 01-26-2010 09:01 PM

I apologize. A little wreckless and fired up here. Probably still irritable from Savage losing to Curt Hennig last time. THIS IS AN EMOTIONAL SUBJECT FOR ME.
