Battle of the Themes #24 - Kane

The Hollywood version of Rock's theme, "It's Conquered", wins out for him.

Next up we have the man who everyone wants to see with his mask back on, The Big Red Machine, Kane.

Gotta go with Burned. I remember back in 97/98 the lights going out and this theme playing throughout the arena and the eerie red lighting. Good Times.

Slow Chemical would be my second.

Kane's first theme was, in my opinion, one of Johnston's best in terms of capturing the essence of the character.

Still have to go with Slow Chemical, but I just wanted to put that out there.

I love Burned, but I had to vote Slow Chemical.

i would have to say slow chemical because that was when kane was at his best when he was doing that whole isolated sinister madman, monster gimmick

Ah Burned brings back many great memories, Slow Chemical didnt deserve the kane of the 2005-2008 era.

I love Man on Fire, but I like Slow Chemical just slightly more, so I went with that as my vote. Kinda odd that everyone's been going with Slow Chemical so far, especially for how much people like to bitch that wrestlers shouldn't have their themes modified to include lyrics. This certainly proves not to be the case here.

Certain themes simply rock with the lyrics (HHH's themes, Mark Henry's 3 6 Mafia one and the classic HBK theme come to mind)

Burned.

I would like for Man on Fire to be played in the background while he does backstage promos.

Slow Chemical. Based on other polls here, lyrics make the song better.

I think Out of the Fire is better than burned but that's because i recently re-watched royal rumble 2001 and Kane coming out to that with Drew Carey in the ring was awesome.

Slow Chemical is sweet, too, though (agree with EDWARD about psychotic Kane of 03), and Man on Fire isn't bad either. Out of the Fire is crap, imo.

"Slow Chemical" is a good SONG, but it's not a good THEME song for Kane. If I had to listen to one song for my personal enjoyment, it'd be that one. However, "Burned" is my favorite Kane theme. So creepy. Perfect fit for the character. I actually enjoy his current one a lot too.

Something about having lyrics in a theme song for a guy like Kane just strikes me as odd. Nobody's supposed to know what's going on inside of his head, so to have somebody else verbalize his feelings in song just seems silly to me. So yeah, fuck "Slow Chemical" as a theme song, even though it's a pretty good song by itself.

ABT pretty much took the words out of my mouth for this one.

Burned gets my vote.

Slow chemical seems to have ran away with it....its by far the most known and most popular theme...it was the theme that was introduced post WCW era when Kane was absent for like 9 months, repackaged with a new mask and ring attire and they kept teasing and teasing his comeback....it was a good fit I believe.

I remember when Kane came back with the half mask and all of a sudden he had a normal voice and better charisma. Plus he seemed to be most fit at that time. Either way glad to see Slow Chemical getting the victory

I went with Out of the Fire, it's got a little bit more funk than Burned and Slow Chemical.

Burned is the classic though. It brings back so many memories.
