surprised everyone is writing coleman off so easily. since the turn of the millenium his losses have all been to top level fighters (nog, fedor, shogun, and crocop back when crocop was awesome). i wouldn't put couture quite on that level.
that said, still not sure who i'm gonna vote to win. |

That and the fact that Couture's biggest assets are his game planning, his cardio, and his clinch/dirty boxing. Coleman's weakness is his lack of cardio. What do you think Couture will do with this weakness... I don't know perhaps he'll clinch and dirty box Coleman until he gasses and just finishes him off. And Couture is on the level of all those guys you just mentioned. And Coleman (at this stage in his career) is the worst fighter Couture has faced in 4 1/2 years. |
couture hasn't really beaten anyone of note since liddel and ortiz back in 2003, except belfort. and belfort's head really wasn't in it at the time.
that said i'm probably going couture. |
Tim Sylvia, Gabriel Gonzaga, and Brandon Vera are all excellent fighters.
But obviously not at the level of the fighters that have beaten Coleman since the millenium. |
also couture really isn't on the level of the guys i named. he's never beaten a top heavyweight, one that will go down as one of the legends. i guess he's more of a lightheavy though so i dunno.
|
they're good but they're not great.
|
did you edit or am i not paying attention? fucking hell.
