2010 TNA Tipsters??-Potential
 

So when I asked if we were going to be doing a 2010 Tipsters last week in one of the threads I started I noticed and asked the question that how come it doens't cover TNA....and I noticed that several people garnered some potential interest in this...so again i'm throwing this out there.

I will volunteer to run....moderate....and keep point tally on a TNA version of Tipsters....I am gonna ask Triple Naitch on how he runs his with his setup and probably mirror the same thing....so I'll be asking him for advice and things like that.

There will be more to come later in an official rules/sign up forum after I get with Naitch but my main concern was finding out who would be interested in participating in this and meaning genuine participation, not doing like 3 ppvs and missing the rest.

So if anyone is interested....please let me know here and i'll try and get back to everyone with an update by the end of the weekend or the beginning of next week.

Well as much as I'm disliking TNA at the moment, I'm sure if I just throw random words together and call them results I think I could scrape at least 2nd place so sure I'll give it a try

its not really infringing since i'm consulting from you for help and its my way of an alternative for those that aren't just WWE fans and can't or choose to not want to participate in the WWE version....some people don't care for the WWE product and I thought this would be a great alternative.

by the way i'm going to lower my standards a bit but include a secondary stip on mine...you have to have at least 300 post and been a member of TPWW forums minimum of 90 days...i've seen people get to 300 posts easily in a month. 90 days seems like a reasonable secondary participation stipulation in my book.

No I haven't....but if they did that would be insane and considered massive spamming, i'm sure the mods would by that point either remove the person or remove the post count all together.

Remember to be included in the running to participate in this you have to have:

-Minimum 300 Posts
-Been a member of TPWW Forums at least 90 days
-Adding another...have to have and maintain a positive rep status on the forums

So based on looking at Triple Naitch's WWE Version of TIPSTERS, here is what I have complied as the basic guidelines/rules/requirements to remain in the running of the winner of TNA Tipsters and the point guidelines for how it will work:

Requirements:

-300 Forum Posts Minimum
-Active Member for at least 90 days at time of sign ups
-Have and maintain a positive rep rating at all times. (No Red Dots, Socks or Trolls)

Criteria to remain active and Receive Points:

-Cannot miss more than 3 PPV's the entire calendar year

-Your predictions must be posted prior to 6:30PM the Sunday of the PPV

-Maintain at least a 60% positive point/prediction ratio over a 4 PPV Calendar period...meaning you must obtain at least 60% of the potential awarded points over 4 ppvs...continued failure to obtain minimum points will result in you being dropped from the competition.

-Your predictions must include a full post of the required posting criteria of the prediction to result in full points being awarded for regular match points and bonus questions as well. Each post must contain a winner, how the win was obtained such as pinfall, submission, DQ, Countout or No-Contest. Must predicate how the win was obtained clearly by naming the finishing move or how the matches finishes such as chair shot, foreign object, outside interference etc.

-Posts with missing criteria either receive no points or half points depending on the circumstances


Points are going to be awarded as follows:

-Everyone gets 250 points Handicap for Genesis not being included.

-50 points for participating in the PPV Predictions goes to everyone automatically.

-25 points is awarded for naming the correct match winner.

-25 points is awarded for naming the correct finish to the match.

-25 points is awarded for naming the correct finisher/submission/object used to obtain the win.

-25 points will be awarded for naming the correct person to get pinned in a Triple Threat/Fatal Four-Way Match

-50 points is awarded to naming correct order of elimination in specialty matches where eliminations occur.

-Bonus Predictions will offer a ranged of 75-150 points depending on the type of bonus being given, consideration of difficulty in the precition, and determining if it require prediction of multiple wrestlers/scenarios.

-Only 2 Bonus Predictions Will be included Maximum per PPV to make it more worthwhile, challenging, and rewarding for those that successfully obtain these points.

This is a keep in mind ROUGH DRAFT of how the layout is going to be...and that additional requirements, point guidelines, and point values may change before the first PPV...I'm open to suggestions/criticism/feedback and your thought and help is appreciated.

Based on suggestions in the forum topic, here is the list of updated Requirements, Contest Rules, and Award System for points:

Requirements:

-300 Forum Posts Minimum.

-You must be signed up prior to the Lockdown PPV....Signing up simply requires you to post your predictions in the official TNA Tipsters 2010-Genesis Thread. Predictions not posted prior to 6:30PM prior to the Sunday start of the Lockdown PPV will result in you not being included in the entire competition...no late or mid-season sign ups will be permitted.


Criteria to remain active and Receive Points:

-Cannot miss more than 2 PPV's the entire calendar year, on the 3rd missed PPV you will be DROPPED from the rankings and forfeit all of your current standing points.

-Your predictions must be posted prior to 6:30PM the Sunday of the PPV. Anything after 6:30pm will be considered a late submission and will count as you having missed the PPV.

-Your predictions must include a full post of the required posting criteria of the prediction to result in full points being awarded for regular match points and bonus questions as well. Each post must contain a winner, how the win was obtained such as pinfall, submission, DQ, Countout or No-Contest. Must predicate how the win was obtained clearly by naming the finishing move or how the matches finishes such as chair shot, foreign object, outside interference etc.

Simply picking a winner and not adding a finish and finishing maneuver will constitute in NO POINTS, so check over your submissions before you submit them.
