but I mean JEW do consider themselves the bastardized version of emo.
I remember I bought this antisuicide thing back in highschool, where the money all went to this antisuicide help thing, and all the songs were from self proclaimed emo bands. I was like 17 maybe and then I started studying the roots of emo and hardcore and all that, and was like "what the hell, this is nothing like this" I think there are three very diverse meanings of the word emo bright eyes- emo because it's sad and his hair looks like that and he's crying while singing sort of JEW- the slow melodic sort of emo, i dunno that early 2000s we are using the word emo and taking it back kinda thing Still life- post hardcore |

bright eyes is not emo i don't care what you or anyone says. JEW is what people associate emo with, but i dont' care about that either. garbage. i love JEW, but not emo no matter what they consdier themselves. people just love that term for the connotations that come wtih it.
