JBL comments on the Jericho/Helms incident

"I see in the news that a couple of my good friends got a free ride the other day and a little fine to go with it. I understand why this is news-Chris Jericho and my boy Hurricane Helms are on a TV show that is watched by hundreds of millions of people around the globe-getting arrested is big news even if it is a minor deal. And believe me, from what I have heard this is a minor deal.

But come on...there were no drugs and both guys were smart enough to plan not to drive while under the influence. In these days of celebrities
that aren't as big as these guys and some bigger doing drugs and being completely irresponsible this is akin to a parking ticket.

Most people out there if they were surrounded by friends and doing what they love would be guilty of having a few too many at times. This is all this was. Repeat...no drugs and no one was driving. Just a few too many and in the wrong place at the wrong time.

I have known both of these guys for a long time and consider both friends. They are great guys who did what most Americans and nearly everyone in the world has done at some point. Have a few cocktails...good for them.

Also, I have to say for a mug shot pic-both looked pretty good."

So...you think JBL had a few showers with Helms? :shifty:

I thought I would use this opportunity to say that I miss JBL as a commentator. Him being on RAW with Michael Cole might actually get me to watch the show.

Other than Matt Striker, JBL is the best commentator developed in a good while...... he would be a huge attribute to WWE if used correctly...... His in-ring days may be numbered, but with him being the mouthpiece of an up-and-coming superstar/tag team could be money.....

I would prefer to have The Miz do commentary with his JBL impressions. :D

I don't miss JBL tbh, annoyed me too much at times. I agree with him on this though, its not like they broke the law.

I hope this is sarcasm.

If not, why would they have been arrested/booked?

Skippord 02-01-2010 07:54 PM

I hate JBL

The Pope 02-01-2010 08:36 PM

JBL was awesome on commentary

moonface 02-01-2010 08:46 PM

Bradshaw is the goods.

DaVe 02-01-2010 08:59 PM

JBL was awesome on commentary

I was a huge JBL mark from 05 onwards.

I'm sure he feels the same way about you.

I, for one, would like to go on the record and say I have been a JBL mark back since he was Justin Hawk Bradshaw.

Being drunk in public IS against the law

Pretty dumb law too. Unless someone is being a threat, I see no harm in it.

Juan 02-02-2010 07:29 AM

Thanks for your take, Zeeboe.

Sure.

Mr. Nerfect 02-02-2010 01:37 PM

Hey, don't make that sound like a ridiculous Noid quote. JBL said it. :shifty:
