Move of a Thousand Names

One of the things I've found interesting in wrestling over the years are finishing moves and their names. There are so many different name given to the same wrestling move, that it's hard even to remember them all. Therefore I felt it would be fun to start a game to see how many names you guys can remember.

The game goes as so:
I will name a wrestling move and you must give at least one alternate name for that move. For example...

Rock Bottom

...an alternate name would be...

Book End

You can name as many alternate names for a move as you like, but only one is required. Also, after you have listed the alternate name(s), place down another move with an alternate name for the game to continue. Okay...here we go...

What is another name for the RKO.

If anyone says "Diamond Cutter", I will knife you.

The RKO is NOT the move DDP made famous.

Funky Fly 04-12-2004 05:27 PM

I would call it a floating neckbreaker, though.

Fine the Bubba Cutter. :p Bubba Dudley used it a few times.

Tazmission
Tazzmission
Kata-Haji-Me
"That choke like move" [/JR]

Rock Bottom 04-12-2004 05:28 PM

Evenflow, Impaler, DDT.

Hurricanrana, "Headscissors take-down."

And the Book End isn't done the same as the Rock Bottom.

HeartBreakMan2k 04-12-2004 05:29 PM

Also I coined the name "Elevated Firemen's Carry" for what move.

Funky Fly 04-12-2004 05:30 PM

Death Valley Driver

Funky Fly 04-12-2004 05:30 PM

It's not a DVD.

If I took a DVD I'd probably die. If I took and FU, I'd get up and punch the guy.

Too true.

They are all different moves aren't they? Inverted DDT, Impaler, Edgecution. DDT, Sweet Dreams. Inverted Figure Four, Venis Flytrap, Trailer Hitch (I think).

Mr. Nerfect 04-12-2004 05:38 PM

BTW, Rene Dupree does a DVD alled the French Rivierre. It would be funny if the reason he can't use it on SmackDown! is because it might outshine the F-U.

Rock Bottom 04-12-2004 05:38 PM

I have no idea what you're saying.

Mr. Nerfect 04-12-2004 05:42 PM

He's an idea. Let's see what move has the most names.

HHHsucks929 04-12-2004 06:05 PM

The Rikishi Driver is also the Michinoku Driver and the Juvi Driver.

OssMan 04-12-2004 06:10 PM

Stunner/Bah gawd/ STUNNER/ AUSTIN WITH A STUNNER/ BAH GAWD austin/inverted jaw breaker

Moongoose Mcqueen 04-12-2004 06:11 PM

For those of you familiar with wrestlecrap.com,

"off the ropes with a flying leg kick"= a dropkick

I'll take the first shot.

Chart Buster
Wippersnapper
The Apocalypse
Ace Driver

Also, the Rikishi driver and Michinoku drive are two different moves.

I'm not sure about the move with the most names, but I know the powerbomb probably has the most variations.

I think he's talking about Michinoku Driver #2. Taka had 3 versions of it. He used #2 in ECW mostly. And #1 in WWE.

Mr. Nerfect 04-12-2004 07:19 PM

LOL, HeartBreakKid2k your name gave me an idea. The move with probably the most names is the superkick.

Superkick
Sweet Chin Music
Steven Kick
Stevie Kick
Samoan Kick
Sidekick
Standing Sidekick
Feliner (I think The Cat used this as the Feliner once or twice)
Glacier had one (forgotten the name)
Jungle Kick
The Whack
And others
*Shelton Benjamin may give his a name soon (Money Clip)

Truth be told you're probably right.

HeartBreakMan2k 04-12-2004 07:27 PM

Oh and add Savate kick to the list for superkick too.

Colossal Kick was Glacier's finisher, and The Feliner was a spinning back kick.

OssMan 04-12-2004 08:12 PM

And Rikishi had his own name for the kick I think.

loopydate 04-12-2004 09:57 PM

I still think Rosey's finisher should be called The Fan.

Savio 04-12-2004 10:00 PM

Piston fire
lue-prez press
(According to WWF Warzone) Tackle to the ground with punches.

Michinoku Driver # 1 is sort of like a suplex into the driver
Michinoku Driver # 2 is the commonly used sitdown body slam type move
Michinoku Drive Beta ( pretty sure it's Beta) starts off like an reverse DDT, and he lifts them into the air almost like a reverse suplex and drops him into the driver.

He's talking about # 2 ( basically the sit out body slam, except it's usually an upper back bump). However, the Rikishi Driver is not a michinoku driver. It is a fire thunder driver, AKA a sitdown tombstone, It's a head/neck bump.

HeartBreakMan2k 04-12-2004 10:07 PM

Touchè. I stand corrected.

King Jericho 04-13-2004 12:22 PM

Inside Cradle and a small package are the same move! :o

King Jericho 04-13-2004 12:58 PM

HAHAH Warzone! That game was awesome when it came out. LOL I remeber that the game didn't tell you about what button combonation would do each guys finishers, which was a same, although I did work out how to do a stunner in tie up ( < < V i think :s )

Attitude was great when it came out too
