Mattel makes the greatest figure of all-time
I always thought Rick Rude looked better with short hair. Did he actually wrestle in WWE with that look, or only manage DX?
nope, that's his WCW early 90's look. I wanna say the tights are from Beach Blast 92

Is it just me, or do the Mattel figs faces look like shit compared to the Jakks ones?

And has anyone else ever noticed that in both of his two distinct looks, Rude bore a striking resemblance to Freddie Mercury? |

Dusty Rhodes looks a bit retarded

They need to make an old-school Hulk Hogan one, so Iron Sheik can make him HUM-BEL!

Kinda makes me wish I still collected wrestling toys. |
Austin looks weird without the knee pads.
lol I knew something was wrong with Austin but couldn't put my finger on it.
Kinda like Forrest Gump.
What is with the extra slice at the thigh? Is that to swivel the legs?
so you can lock on a figure 4
The Hasbro figures are still number one to me. Just look so simple but so effective, and one of the few wrestling toy lines to actually have realistic looking bodies for the most part (barring just a few who were recycled such as Ric Flair who had the exact same body as Ravishing Rick Rude!)
Rude cutting his hair was part of his build-up to SummerSlam '90; a slight repackaging job to make him a more credible World title contender following three years in the midcard, it was designed to show that he was taking his preparation more seriously than ever before. There were a bunch of training promos, and the actual haircut itself may have been shown in a vignette but I've never seen it so can't be sure. |
