Your Happiest Moment

We all have moments in wrestling that we classify as our best time.

I really loved Mankind’s first ever appearance on Raw Is War. That was cool just based on the fact that I was only 7 years old and wrestling seemed real and unpredictable back then.

As far as my early days of watching when I was a mark...definitely Goldberg beating Hogan for the WCW World Heavyweight Title on Nitro

One of the greatest endings to a Wrestlemania in my opinion.

Non-Wrestlemania would have been Jericho's 1st title win over Triple H which is later over-turned and Mankind's 1st title win since I watched the whole show and missed the infamous part of Tenay "spoiling" the result on WCW Nitro the same night.

I am really torn by a handful of moments, and I don't feel like any of them are above the other for me personally.

TRIPLE H RETURNS ON RAW - JAN. 7, 2002

I am a Triple H mark, duh, and this was surreal to me. The video package before got you emotionally ready, then the commercial break made you wait, and then Triple H returned to one of the loudest ovations in MSG history. Jim Ross makes this moment, like so many, even more memorable.

I liked Shawn Michaels until 2002. Upon his return in 2002, I became a mark for Shawn Michaels. He proves why he is the greatest of all time, and IMHO, the Triple H vs Shawn Michaels feud is the 2nd greatest rivalry of my lifetime (short, I know) behind Austin/McMahon.

For a moment frozen in time, everything was right. Words can never do this moment justice, even though it has forever been tainted by tragedy.

The build-up to WrestleMania 23 and all the way through until Shawn Michaels tapped to the STFU in Ford Field was amazing. I honest to god believed with every fiber of my being Shawn Michaels was going to become WWE Champion that night. I honest to god hated John Cena more than humanly possible with every fiber of my being. WrestleMania 23 is my favorite post-attitude era WrestleMania and this match was amazing. John Cena ruined everything, but until Shawn Michaels tapped and killed my dream...I felt like I was 6 years old again, and that was fucking awesome.

Xero 02-17-2010 01:17 AM

I was live at the first three.

Seriously, Triple H struggling in the Crossface made it that much more epic.

James Steele 02-17-2010 01:35 AM

I remember being so happy after WrestleMania XX, but being so fucking pissed after WrestleMania 23. The interesting thing is, to me anyway, that those are the only 2 WrestleManias I have purchased and watched live on PPV.

Rock vs Hogan

That will be the answer for anyone who was at WM-X8.

Team Sheep 02-17-2010 07:36 AM

Probably The Rock winning the title from Triple H at Backlash 2000 when I was a little boy and hated that evil Triple H with everything in my body.

TrentDRUGFREE 02-17-2010 09:23 AM

Have to mention when I was a kid and despised Kurt Angle more than anything and loved The Rock to bits, the Summerslam 2000 triple threat main event was probs the most exciting moment I've ever experianced watching wrestling....I'm pretty sure I recall jumping up and down on a couch for a good 10 minutes at the conclusion of that match.
Happiest moment definetly Wrestlemania XX moment

Swiss Ultimate 02-17-2010 12:11 PM

Mankind's first title win.

I think despite what happened, Benoit and Eddie in the ring at the end of WM20 will forever be the greatest moment ni the history of wrestling.

XL 02-17-2010 06:28 PM

Yeah, I remember being stood up in a room full of people at 4am shouting for HHH tap and punching the air when he did.

As others have said, it's tainted now and the subsequent title reign was pretty lacklustre, but at the time it was an amazing moment.

Benoit winning at Mania and the post win celebration with Eddie def. come to mind.

The Rock finally beating Triple H at Backlash. I remember being pissed as hell after watching Wrestlemania 2000. I was furious. Seeing the Rock finally win was epic.

Stone Cold's Royal Rumble win in 2001 is one that comes to my mind, it was the second PPV I ever ordered, I thought he had no chance after Triple H attacked him, but then he fought back and won the Royal Rumble, truly epic.

Sting's entrance from 3:19 onwards was pretty awesome for me as well. Everything that followed was decidedly underwhelming, but for that one moment it was the biggest thing ever.

Soooooooo many moments, but the first thing that popped into my head was Chris Jericho's first debut on Raw in a mic duel with The Rock. I was a HUGE Jericho mark, and I knew that the countdown clock was for him. Me and my friend marked out like crazy when he appeared at the top of the ramp and we thought it was the funniest thing ever when The Rock said "you think you impress The Rock because you used to beat up on some jabroni named JUVENTUD?".

A lot of what has already been said, WM XX is my favourite moment. Rock in 2000 was just awesome. Jericho's debut...

RVD at ONS reminded me of the first One Night Stand and how great that was. I'm going to have to find Paul Heyman's shoot on youtube now. I was a huge fan of the original ECW and seeing it all again was fucking amazing.

I chose this instead. The Sandman is what you think your like when you get just the right kind of drunk.

The Jayman 02-18-2010 04:16 PM

I would have to say the Undertaker's return at WM 20. His deadman gimmick and his partnership with Paul Bearer was just awesome.
