Hogan isn't wrestling in TNA? Riiight...

From Figure Four Weekly:

Hogan and Flair's first TNA match announced

It will be on the live 3/8 show:

Hogan & Abyss vs. Flair & A.J. Styles

Mr. JL 02-16-2010 10:17 PM

Pretty lame match.

McLegend 02-16-2010 10:20 PM

HBK rolling in his grave right now.

screech 02-16-2010 11:17 PM

Awful

The Gold Standard 02-16-2010 11:18 PM

I can handle a tag match because they don't have to do too much work.

screech 02-16-2010 11:19 PM

How long until Abyss leaves TNA after he gets pinned by Flair?

Hogan getting any offense on the champion is bad.

Abyss and Styles always seem to work well together so I think that might make up for flair and hogan. I think Flair might still be descent in the ring though.

VSG 02-16-2010 11:24 PM

So the WWE HOF ring is a part of TNA storyline now? Way to go!

McLegend 02-16-2010 11:26 PM

Abyss and AJ going to be working hard.

The Pope 02-16-2010 11:33 PM

WWE HOF ring is not worth crap, but does have magical powers.

kareru 02-16-2010 11:33 PM

the band come in and interfere attacking hogan
AJ pins hogan for the win
eric,the band,aj and flair start a stable

im calling this first.

Cool King 02-16-2010 11:35 PM

I'm sure Hogan & Abyss will have Harry Potter on their side.

Only for Abyss apparently!

Testicle 02-17-2010 12:25 AM

The good news is that AJ and Abyss have great chemistry. The bad news is this fucking sucks.

Skippord 02-17-2010 12:25 AM

awesome news

Tyler Killer 02-17-2010 01:10 AM

Shut the fuck up Smarks

KayfabeMan 02-17-2010 02:19 AM

I like the concept, just confused why AJ and Abyss??

Rammsteinmad 02-17-2010 04:35 AM

R.I.P. TNA. :(

Juan 02-17-2010 04:37 AM

Color me shocked

St. Jimmy 02-17-2010 06:08 AM

:nono:

Calamondin 02-17-2010 07:19 AM

I am not surprised. Though if someone held a gun to my head and made me choose between watching this and another WWE comedy bit, I'd choose this.

Nicky Fives 02-17-2010 07:19 AM

Can't say I didn't see this coming....:shifty:

TrentDRUGFREE 02-17-2010 08:15 AM

I went to one if the Hulkamania live events in Australia recently and, if you havn't already seen the youtube clips, flair can take one of his side bumps and that's it....everything else he does looks horrible.
And hogan....well.....on an internet wrestling forum this doesn't even need to be mentioned.

The Jayman 02-17-2010 08:23 AM

I don't know what you guys are talking about. This has the potential to be a good...ma....no i'm just kidding. sorry I just couldn't finish that with a straight face

Nicky Fives 02-17-2010 07:53 PM

I love how Hogan claimed 2 months ago that "he was not in TNA to wrestle, but to help the company grow" and how in one shot, he does both

Loose Cannon 02-17-2010 08:13 PM

um, because it's Hulk Hogan and believe it or not, the fans outside internet message boards actually still care about Hulk Hogan. I've already had 3 people I know who read the wrestling newsboards text me/e-mail me they are excited to see Hogan and Flair wrestle on that show. For every TPWW poster who hates Hulk Hogan theres wrestling fans out that that love him.

Hey I'll be the first one to admit that Hogan is as shitty as he's ever been in regards to in ring work. But he's Hulk Hogan and I bet the segment does a nice number. TNA's going to reach a much larger audience on that show. You got to throw major names in there.

I just don't understand why so much hate for Hogan, but yet nothing about Flair in this thread. Flair's career has been very similar to Hulk's over the years, but somehow Flair is praised and Hogan is crucified. i don't get it.

McLegend 02-17-2010 08:24 PM

Hulkamania is dying though.

Also I don't recall seeing Flair demanding to go over HBK or Orton. Also before this TNA stint Flair has always been there year around. Hogan comes in when it's good for him. Sure that's smart business, but no way wrestling fans are going to respect that.

Now I think Flair going to TNA here is actually sad, because it's clear he needs the money. Ric Flair shouldn't need money.

I agree.

Living over 5000 miles away from US, in a land that knows nothing about wrestling, I learned who Hogan is about the time I learned about Schwarzenegger.

Not really a fan of either, tbh

but my problem when people get pissed off because Hogan went over this guy or that guy is that is it really 100% Hogan's fault? There's management behind the scenes that can say no to Hulk. I really don't buy that Hogan has every single person by the balls. Management realizes Hogan does good business and that's why you continue to see him. I'm sure most people want to tell Hulk to go fuck himself, but they know they would be throwing away $$$$ and that's why he is around

Yeah but it's perceived that Flair does what's best for the business as in where Hogan always goes in for business for himself.

No one likes the guy that goes in for business for himself.

I agree with that 100%. Percieved. Yes, Flair has done a lot of great things for wreslting since he became of notoriety. But...he's done some shitty things behind the scenes as well. Just like a lot of top guys through the years. But Flair and Hogan are still going to make money for promotions, so that's why I have no problem with it

Loose Cannon 02-17-2010 08:50 PM

and please don't take what I'm saiyng as if I think Hogan all by himself is going to do good business in TNA. If his segment does a good number, well it's because AJ and Abyss drew in the hardcore TNA fans and Hogan and Flair drew in thier fans. But Hogan and Flair give the match that extra star power needed to draw in fans that might not of wanted to watch AJ or Pope or Abyss. The wrestlers in the match bring in a variety of fans and TNA was smart to do that.

Skippord 02-17-2010 08:52 PM

I don't like Ric Flair or Hulk Hogan

can I make fun of this?

Loose Cannon 02-17-2010 08:53 PM

do you like AJ or Abyss?

Perception is reality.

The number will probably be pretty good actually. I'm even somwhat interested in seeing Flair and Hogan in the same match.

Of course you can Skippord. You have my blessing

Skippord 02-17-2010 08:57 PM

I like AJ Styles

I liked Abyss when he was threatening and not a giant retard
