fucking incredible, all three of them. also saw rxbandits, taking back sunday, motion city soundtrack, reel big fish, jimmy eat world, faith no more, afi, jane's addiction, and i had to review him and enter shikari, who were both pus. had to review gj, tbs, afi and the bandits too but at least they were either bands i wanted to see or had been a fan of at some point or another.

anyway, never thought i'd see the three bands i listed in the title, so they were worth admission alone. sunny day was too tremendous for words.

jealous. i had a ticket for gj's show in l.a. a couple years ago and couldn't make it. had no money when they came through last year. same for sdre.

i do get to see them folks, along with faith no more, at coachella though, so that's some consolation.

how was the gj set?

they were awesome. only had one guitarist but they pulled it off seamlessly. had the original bass player too, such a smooth motherfucker. to top it off they played two tabs of mescaline, which i wasn't expecting <3

Saw Sunny Day Real Estate sort of, when they were The Fire Theft.

Saw The Get Up Kids acoustic set and then met the band after. They were all assholes except Reggie

Seen TBS like 92374893274 times and Motion City once at Skate and Surf 2003

early 2000s post-hardcore. discordant guitars, rolling basslines, loud/soft extremes coupled with daryl palumbo's smooth croons juxtaposed against rank wails.

I will probably go to big bear festival or whatever it is called in Knoxville, it has Joanna newsom, dj rupture, the clogs (feutiring sufan stevens bon iver and the national) the national, vampire weekend... a whole lot of really good other stuff to.

I also want to go to bonnaroo to see LCD soundstystem or just wait till pitchfork fest which ahs modest mouse pavement and lcd soundsystem

faith no more were amazing too; mike patton rocks my socks. but glassjaw, the get ups and sunny day all meant more on a personal level.

no, i didn't see gallows. one of the other writers saw them though and said they were really disappointing. total lack of energy on stage apparently.

I've missed Glassjaw twice this year so I'm gutted bout that but I saw them 2 years ago I think it was. Saw FNM last year too they were great
