Bret Hart Set To Win The Title At WrestleMania?
 

Call me crazy, but I wouldn’t mind that stipulation being added to the match. Not saying Hart has to win, but it would keep us on the edge of our seats at the least.

That would be fucking retarded. Bret doesn't even look like a wrestler nowadays and the fans know that he's washed up. It would make the WWE look like a joke if Bret won the title....although don't get me wrong, I love Bret (no homo).

Have Bret go over Vince, and then have Cena go against Batista in a completely different match.

I call bullshit but if it was true, it'd be the worst thing to happen in a long time. Hart's not been getting a huge reaction (like Hogan did when he was thrown the title) and he has no place, health wise, in a proper match.

Hart getting the title at WrestleMania would do justice from 1997. Better late than never.

He doesn't defend it, and someone wins the title in a tournament.

Only way that would even be a good idea for crowd reaction is if they had Wrestlemania in Calgary to go with hometown hero winning the title.

It would appear to be similar to when Hogan won the title from Triple H and then dropped it to the Undertaker the next month as a "thank you" reign but main difference was Hogan could still wrestle and didn't have any potential medical condition unlike Bret has. Hogan was also "hot" off the match with the Rock so the crowd still cared a lot for his character.

How do they plan to do this match with Bret having "a broken leg" and "torn tendons"?

This is a terrible idea. I agree with Heyman, and I've said so myself; give Bret and Vince their own match and let Cena/Bats be its own seperate program.

6 month feud between Vince and Bret for the belt.

Why does everyone want Bret and Vince to have their own match? BRET CAN'T BUMP! Vince can't even slap him in the face due to concerns for Bret's health. Do you people realize how bloody awful that match would be?

Bret being in anything called a "wrestling match" is pretty ridiculous at this point. No tag, no singles, no nothing. Stay on the outside, punch out Vince, put him in the Sharpshooter and be done with it.

Huge Hart mark, but having him in a Title match makes absolutely no fucking sense..... I love the guy to death, but there is no way he can put on a good match anymore..... especially if Cena & Batista are involved.....

If a tag team match does happen, I could see Cena looking on as Hart grabs McMahon's legs, knowing what's coming next, but allows it to happen and settles for planting Batista with an FU. McMahon taps to the Sharpshooter, and Hart is announced as new WWE Champion. After the match, Cena hands the belt to Hart and hugs him as they celebrate.

Batista loses the belt, so Cena sort of gets his revenge.

I think Bret respects the business too much to let them give him the belt.

He should come out in his old wrestling gear and music as wwe champion it would be fucking incredible moment in wrestling history.

I would love to see this, but everyone has a point. Bret winning the title should not happen. In any, way, shape, or form.

In terms of a match, I still think a street fight between the two can work. it wouold have to be a squash match, but it could be done. Just give bret 8 to 10 minutes to beat the piss out of McMahon. Hit him with some chairs, trashcans, tv monitors, etc. then slap on the sharpshooter and let it be done with. There doesn't have to be any wrestling involved for the match to work and be entertaining. The point is to allow Bret to avenge himself for SS '97. Vince doesn't need to do anything but bump and sell.

the idea of bret getting the belt is a very plausible one as it makes way for them to do things the way it "should" have been done in 97. Bret wins the title then forfeits it on raw before leaving the wwe.

I dont think its as bad as arquette as bret was a wrestler to begin with. Bret hart still has enough ego and pride; i bet if hulk hogan offered bret hart a title match against him bret would take it as it seems his goal was to be bigger than hogan and beat hogan.

A huge "WTF?" at this, but I'd take Bret Hart as being the WWE Champion over John Cena and Batista. Seriously. Bret would at least be interesting. He'd only be WWE Champion for about a day, anyway, before he forfeited it the next night. I don't like the idea of it being a tag team match, though.

You know Cena w/ Bret vs. Batista w/ Vince for the WWE Title? And making it a TAG MATCH?

If they put the WWE Title on Bret Hart, they should do it in a way similar to how Hulk Hogan won it -- John Cena gets beat, and then Bret Hart comes out and consoles his buddy, and Batista is all "I can take ya." Earlier in the night, have Bret completely bitch out Vince and put him a Sharpshooter in a Street Fight.

I'd laugh if the Money in the Bank Winner cashes it in on Bret Hart and beats him on RAW or even at WrestleMania. Screwjob #2.
