Will Undertaker get a bigger retirement than Flair?

Does he deserve a bigger retirement than Flair? Will he get one? What would YOU do?

Supreme Olajuwon 02-23-2010 10:37 PM

Yeah, both Taker and Michaels do for never jumping ship once they got to the WWF. McMahon owes them big time.

DAMN iNATOR 02-23-2010 10:42 PM

Agreed. Michaels' send-off this year I'm sure will be just as emotional as Flair's was the night after Mania XXIV on RAW. And 'Taker deserves no less than a huge send-off for putting 20 years of his life into WWE itself.

Mr. C 02-23-2010 10:49 PM

When The Undertaker retires, the wrestling world will have truly lost the most irreplaceable figure they've ever had.

thedamndest 02-23-2010 10:50 PM

How do you top Flair though? They already built Flair up to be the best ever and neither man has the 16 World Championships. Maybe it's just a question of being the best of a certain era. I wonder how they'll get around Taker's kayfabe issues. I don't want to see a bunch of lightning bolts coming down and having him ascending the sky or something.

screech 02-23-2010 10:53 PM

Someone (or many people) have brought up the idea of him being "summoned home" by Paul Bearer with the urn, disappearing into smoke or something like that. I think that would be cool.

screech 02-23-2010 10:53 PM

Or do you mean his "RAW send off" where people come out and thank him?

thedamndest 02-23-2010 10:59 PM

Either one. They've killed him so many times that you always expect him to come back and if he's actually retiring I would want something that is relevant to the character but also befitting of the man.

Favre4Ever 02-23-2010 11:05 PM

I think one of the two WILL retire holding either the WWE Championship or the World Heavyweight Championship.

This. Not to mention going undefeated at Wrestlemania against all top tier opponents could really be made out to rival multiple championship reigns. Maybe not as many as Flair, but still. Taker is home grown and has been the most loyal guy they've ever had. Give the devil his due.

Droford 02-23-2010 11:59 PM

I wonder if he will RETIRE..IN...PEACE

James Steele 02-24-2010 12:10 AM

he's right though

Fignuts 02-24-2010 02:39 AM

Did you actually click the spoiler tag damninator? Seriously?

el bobbo 02-24-2010 03:22 AM

HHH is truly above everyone else when it comes to honour, integrity, and passion towards the business. A class act all around...

Didn't he wrestle A-Train once too?

The Mackem 02-24-2010 08:53 AM

He deserves it more and it will mean more but sometimes in life you don't get what you deserve.

Anybody Thrilla 02-24-2010 09:03 AM

I'd like to see him get jumped by a bunch of foes that he thought he had vanquished in the past. Could you imagine a stable consisting of Giant Gonzalez, King King Bundy, "The Supreme Fighting Machine" Kama, Ted DiBiase's Undertaker, Muhammad Hassan, etc. coming back and just decimating The Deadman?

Rammsteinmad 02-24-2010 09:06 AM

I think Ric Flair is proof that nobody ever 'retires'.

Anybody Thrilla 02-24-2010 09:10 AM

Terry Funk is the original proof of that.

Norwegian Badass 02-24-2010 09:12 AM

no

The Mackem 02-24-2010 09:15 AM

Easily Top 5 all-time.

Yes mostly for never leaving the company or being unable to wrestle during the Attitude Era and for being one of the very few people Vince gave backstage power to control any problems.

In a way if it wasn't for the fact of Vince listening to Undertaker and not HBK during a pre-Wrestlemania meeting, Stone Cold probably doesn't win the title the way he did at Wrestlemania 14 and help jump start the Attitude Era.

The Nathan Jones roundhouse kick in the aisle was a masterpiece, Leonardo Da Vinci couldn't have created anything of equal value

Plus he literally married the business.

Skippord 02-24-2010 05:04 PM

On an unrelated note, is Giant Gonzalez still alive?

Indeed he is.

Skippord 02-24-2010 05:08 PM

interesting, he seemed like someone who should be be dead now

screech 02-24-2010 05:13 PM

According to his wiki, he's in a wheelchair these days.

Skippord 02-24-2010 05:14 PM

that's sad, poor guy

Nark Order 02-24-2010 06:32 PM

I'd actually quite like to see Leonardo Da Vinci execute a roundhouse kick.
