Yeah, at his own request. Hoddle said he hadn't had time to talk with him about it, not sure if that's true or not. Sunderland tried to get him on the cheap
so he's still here. I wouldn't be *totally* surprised to see someone try again in January but I guess it depends on how we're doing/if we can get anyone in to replace (I wouldn't be comfortable relying on Cort, Ganea, Ndah and Clarke for half a season)
