1) The italicized sentence makes no sense. However you already have a mouse to click it with.
2) I know what you're getting at with the rest of it, but you're being kinda silly with the 3rd party browser/mouse analogy. There are many types of keyboard and pointing devices for computers, however they all run through the same standards to work, and the software is designed with that in mind. Besides browser software isn't responsible for those types of inputs, it's handled by the operating system.
They haven't said whether or not the more traditional controller will be included with the console or not, but I would imagine so due to people seemingly fearing change.
