I stand by my opinion that this title change was good. It was completely different to anything the WWE have done recently. They took a guy, who has a fairly solid fanbase, fairly solid wrestling skills and a fairly strong background, and they had him tear it up and really make an impact by winning three major matches.
When has the WWE had Booker T win the title unexpectedly, Chris Benoit win the title unexpectedly or Chris Jericho win the title unexpectedly. All the title changes are telegraphed from several miles away. TNA"s last three title changes have been fairly unpredictable, and that, even if it makes the matches less epic, makes the matches more exciting, makes TNA more exciting and it makes the title seem like it could change hands on any given night.
I just see something charming about Rhino as Champion. He didn't use his position to get the title, he used the title to get his position, and that really interests me.
I wouldn't make this a temporary thing. Jarrett does not need to win the belt back, and Rhino does not need to lose it. I'd have Rhino face AJ Styles at the Primetime special, and have him retain the title. As for Genesis? I'd probably do some kind of big mulit-man match in which Rhino can retain the belt, again.
