Uruguay coach slams choice of referees

Uruguay coach Jorge Fossati has criticised the choice of European referees for his team's World Cup playoff matches against Australia.
"I don't like this one bit. It's the same as if they had designated an Argentine (referee) in Uruguay and a Brazilian in Sydney," Fossati told a local radio station.
The Danish trio of Claus Bo Larsen, Bill Hansen and Anders Norrestrand have been appointed to officiate in the first leg at Montevideo's Centenario Stadium on November 12, Uruguayan Football Association (AUF) sources said.
The return leg will be handled by Belgians Frank De Bleeckere, Mark Simons and Peter Hermans.
"People will say they are Europeans, yes, but they're neighbours of Australia's current coach (Dutchman Guus Hiddink)," Fossati said.
"It's strange, officials from leagues in which we don't have any players. I'm not at all happy."
