I consider myself a smark, in the sense that I'm a mark "in the know".
I think the definition of "mark" is equivalent to the debate on "n00b" vs. "newbie". To most, a "n00b" is a person that acts like a moron and doesn't know shit about shit, while a "newbie" is simply somebody who is new to a forum but still acts like a normal human being.
In some regards, there are two definitions of "mark". The one that most smarks hold to is that a mark is a person who can't distinguish reality from storyline and who thinks that the wrestlers really are who their characters are, even in real life. But to me and you and other intelligent people
a mark is simply someone who likes to watch wrestling and can suspend disbelief while watching it, much like people can be submersed into a really good movie and whatnot.
(Much better than my "stupid moms and garbage wrestling" argument, no?
