Actually, there is talk of Youklis being delt, I forgot the name, but someone had a young 1B they want to move, I don't remember who they were talking about on the radio.
Yeah, Damon said he would stay if the team stayed, but guess what, Damons going to do what's best for his wallet, plain and simple.
You really think if the Red Sox give him the best offer, he's going to go elsewhere because there are "new players"...
But as I've said, I wouldn't give him a 7yr deal.
4 years, maybe 5/6 options.
But, 7yr gauranteed, no way.
On a side note, this is around the same time the Sox got Schilling (theo had thanksgiving dinner at Schillings place in AZ).
