Anyway, I love both shows. Futurama was amazing, and could really tug at your heart strings when necessary, but so could the Simpsons early on.

The Simpsons suffered a long plateau of near-greatness from about season 9-11, then during what I gingerly call "the Scully years", during which Mike Scully was executive producer, the show was still better than 99% of the other crap on TV, but was a shadow of it's former self. However, with the departure of Mike Scully, season 14 onwards has again sorta got up to that season 9 near-greatness level, where most of the shows are good, and they hit a home run every 4 or 5 episodes.

So for longevity's sake, The Simpsons wins this bout.

But I love them both. So much.
