Here is my opinions on Alex Shane. In the pro wrestling world, the dude is a fucking mark. He has a nerve to call others marks when I have never come accross anyone in the pro wrestling business who is such a mark for their own face and their own voice. Look at the history of his matches. Whenever a top American guy was brought over to the FWA, instead of making matches that would draw crowds or putting over another talent within your own company, Alex Shane would ALWAYS be working that talent. Even if the match was a total mismatch with looks or styles he would still do it.
Personally, I think he is a douche. Long story short, over on the UK Fan Forum, a lot of fans were complaining about ticket prices for an upcoming show (tickets were priced from about £10 to £65 for a indy show). Alex Shane then went on a massive rant about how the fans should support British wrestling trying to defend the high ticket prices and then went on about how British fans are too smart markish and how they don't even cheer at shows. He mentioned some rubbish about how he went to WCW Nitro in London and how he was cheering so if he could do it then others should. He also brought up how Jody Fleisch was paid £50 to work 3 matches on the biggest UK show in 20 years and did a balcony dive on that show for the fans to try to justify the ticket prices.
My arguement back was the fans pay their money to go to shows and they have the right to cheer if they want or sit on their hands and not say a word for 3 hours if they want. If the wrestlers don't like that then tough shit. As for £65 for a indy show ticket, the WWF just had a PPV in London weeks earlier that cost £50 for a ringside ticket. Now I'm no genius but what is more value for money - £50 for a ringside WWF pay per view where you see the wrestlers live maybe twice a year tops or £65 for a indy show where you can pretty much see the same talent every week for 10% of that price? Now on to Jody Fleisch. Whatever style he wishes to work is his business and that's cool. However, it's Alex Shane (as the promoter) and not the fans who should be embarrassed that he was paid £50 to work 3 matches on the biggest show in the UK in 20 years. I'd bet anything that Shane paid himself more for less work on that show too. Eddie Guerrero and Brian Lawler didn't work for £50 on the same show I know that much. Don't even dare try and make the fans feel guility for you being a cheap cunt. And as for the balcony dive, that's his business whether he wants to do it or not. Personally, I think he is a fool for doing it though. Things like that ended his career at 22 years old. Not my fault that happened.
Following this arguement (where everybody defended me), a bunch of new posters come out of the woodwork defending Shane. Turns out they all have the same IP address though. Funny that.
And just to add to just how much Alex Shane is a sad bastard, my ex girlfriend shows me this dude on Yahoo chat that is trying to chat her up saying he is a professional wrestler, doesn't have any female friends, doesn't meet many women and what have you. I take a look at the profile pic and guess who it is? And just to make sure it is actually him, his webcam is on and he is sitting in some shithole making the same loser poses he makes for pics. Can't be bothered to see if the profile is still there but it's alexshaneuk if you want to check yourself.
