I'm pretty sure it isn't, if the QB crosses the line and throw the ball, it's a "forward laterall" and the play is dead.
There's a difference between fumbling and have it go fwd and a laterall or throwing motion.
Plain and simple the Refs sucked last night, not just for USC that is true. You'd just like to see better calls in a big game.
Krispy, I agree there are some NFL crews that are horrible, at least they allow challenges, although someone had a good point the other day, why limit the challenges, still have a penalty so someone doesn't abuse it as a time-out, but if a ref blows 5 calls, shouldn't they be able to correct all 5?
I dunno, I was always an anti-replay person, allow the "humaness" of the game... but now, is it right to decide a game or even a championship on a bad call? dunno...
