I think it is somewhat similar to what happened to Rock in that they are basically doing the same thing that made them popular and all of a sudden its made them get booed. Cena used to have edgier lyrics back in '03, but he's been pretty lilly white for 2 years and he still got over like crazy. Its only really been since he went over to RAW and has been fueding with guys who are Internet heroes that he's been getting booed by that element of the audience.
Turning him seems logical, but then who do they have who can take over the #1 baby spot on RAW? Becaus eif they dont have someone to take over, then it would be really stupid to turn him.
HBK will never be that guy, for a lot of reasons, but mainly because he's not full time.
I think Angle the way he is now (minus the dumbass troop bashing and Divari) would be over like crazy as a bad ass babyface (ala Austin). But I know they would never do that. Whenever they make Angle a face, he turns into a pussy.
RVD would be another Internet choice, but he's never going to be a top guy in the WWE for a variety of reasons, some are his fault, others aren't.
Who else is there? HHH? Show? Kane? None of them seem like guys who I would want to count on to sell tickets and PPVs.
The only thing I would consider is moving Batista back to RAW as the top baby and leave SD for Rey as the top guy.
