Billy West (the voice of Fry) said in an interview that when it was on TV it had the higher ratings that Conan O'Brian and Jay Leno etc. But Fox kept switching the times so no one knew when it would be on and so they couldn't watch it. So Fox used that as an excuse to cancel it.
