You know, I was just thinking about possible opponents for Edge, then I realised there are heaps.

Edge can feud with a face Kurt Angle, now, Rey Mysterio, Val Venis (this would be a bit of a stretch, but I can see them doing an "I bet you cheated on my sister when you were married to her" angle), Shawn Michaels (which would be worth it just for Vince screwing Shawn), Shelton Benjamin and of course...Rob Van Dam. I can even see The Undertaker winning the Royal Rumble and challenging Edge at WrestleMania (since they're both undefeated there).

The more and more I think about it, the more and more Edge seems like a good choice as WWE Champion right now I hope they keep him as WWE Champ past the obvious Flair and Cena matches.
